May 21, 200521 yr Hi,For those of you who are not familiar with RealAir and the SF-260 I wrote a mini-review in this thread :http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=255468&page=
May 21, 200521 yr Hi Tony,I think I have a solution. Try uninstalling then look to see if there is on old SF260.cab in your FS9 gauge folder. It shouldn't be there. We have had just of reports of this. The installer should wipe this file. If it's still there please delete it then re-install. Please let us know if this works as it might help a couple of other people.Kind Regards,Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
May 21, 200521 yr HelloI think the Euro pricing came about because of the state of the dollar in relation to the euro. There was a lot of debate here at the time of the Spitfire's release. At this price the SF260 is a steal as it has no serious competitor in the GA singles catagory it really is a joy to fly, It is the most fun you can have in FS9 for $32
May 21, 200521 yr Great write up , Should be pinned at the top of the forum for newcomers here to discover the joys of flying the SF260.
May 21, 200521 yr You mean something like this?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/117280.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/117281.jpg Bert
May 21, 200521 yr That's a great idea Bert, for those who prefer cruising to beating up the tower!Hope it works ok in the new version. If you have any problems please get in touch and we'll sort it out.Kind Regards,Rob Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
May 21, 200521 yr This is actually the better fit...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/117289.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/117290.jpg Bert
May 21, 200521 yr That's even better! But hey, Bert, swithc the backlit gauge lighting on. Switch is furthest to the right. Tye panel comes alive with that light on!Cheers,Rob Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
May 21, 200521 yr No, if you have an older version installed, you just have to purchase the upgrade and run the installer. No removal necessary.CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
May 21, 200521 yr There are several small "reality" additions to this wonderful simulation. At least two are first (as far as I know) in FS simulation concerning the compass and DME initializing. Wonderful gauge update rates and VC. This is just a taste of things to come! Great job as always Real Air!Bob.... :) Bob Prince
May 21, 200521 yr HiJust finished a flight from cloud9's Elba LIRJ to ISDProjects LIMEusing Active sky and Flight environment.About halfway i hit some turbulance and was amazed to see the whskeycompass actualy bob up and down with the movement of the plane. This update has raised the bar again, its like having a new sim.
May 22, 200521 yr Hi Rob,Your suspicion of the the old gauge file was correct. I followed your instructions and now everything is fine. I didn't know it at the time, but I was also missing the gauges right above the throttle such as the fuel and so on. I had assumed that blank spot was for an avionics upgrade such as GPS or something. :)The plane is a real work of art. I haven't flown the version 2 much lately as other virtual cockpits had outdone it, and with my TrackIR and Vector I spend most of my time in the VC now. You guys have now retaken the crown. Thank-you, both for your wonderful products and wonderful service.Tony
