May 22, 200521 yr I had the same ordering issue, but I emailed Rob (at about 10pm US Eastern Time which I think would be 3am where Rob lives) and he replied in minutes. A few minutes later the problem was solved and I was flying.I have purchased every Real Air release and can assure anyone who is skeptical that the customer service and the quality is always first rate. The SF260 has been my favorite Real Air model from the start, and with the addition of Real View, it is even better. Hats Off to RAS.
May 22, 200521 yr Thanks for those comments about our customer support. After two nights back to back and three hours sleep I'm going to relax a bit more today, but we are very keen to demonstrate that we can respond quickly without a forum, and in fact not having a dedicated forum means we can respond individually to each customer.I really appreciate people actually noticing that we get the job dne as quick as poss! Now as it is a Sunday I'm going to spend some time with my family, but I will still respond within hours if not minutes.Kind Regards to all,Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
May 22, 200521 yr Just want to add another big tick against Realair and SWREGMy credit card order didn't quite work as expected. I mailed SWREG at 06.30 UTC and had a response from SWREG, and feedback from Rob, within 3 hours. Pretty good following a major releaseLooking forward to hammering this beast over the virtual New Zealand skies.CheersRottenlungs
May 22, 200521 yr Mmm, looks like SWREG is having problems. I get a 'Attempt to purchase non existant item' error when hitting the Buy button. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
May 22, 200521 yr I like Michael was hesitant to get this product before, as I more enjoy the Cessna's and other "conventional" GA aircraft. I was also very very reluctant to use VC's, for many reasons. I heard a lot about the new VC technology on the Realair Spitfire - but I'm not into the warbirds myself. Anyways I saw the SF260 was re-released in the 2005 version yesterday so I thought why not try it.Most of my flying is cross country VFR / IFR - I generally don't bother with Aerobatics, scud running etc. While a lot of people comment about its aerobatics capabilities - this is an awesome VFR cruiser too! It has a good cruise speed - not too fast, but quick enough to cover some decent distance in short time. The climb rate is phenomenal if you want to get on top of the clouds. The biggest part I like about this, and as the original post mentions - this plane feels like you finally hopped off those rails and are flying a real plane. It just feels real - hard to explain. It has also converted me to using the VC finally, I don't see myself going back to the 2D panel for this aircraft, ever. I may even start using the VC in other addon planes finally too lol.One thing that people often don't mention is the documentation. Realair does an excellent job of presentation in the manuals - they are more interesting to read and have a great graphical layout.Anyways I wouldn't hold back on this one - worth every penny.
May 22, 200521 yr Just bought the upgrade and did my first flight - I completely agree with what the others are saying -a truly excellent aircraft. I have never been a fan of the virtual cockpits, but this one really works. I tried a couple of instrument approaches and was very pleased with the VC performance. Frame rates were excellent (as compared to my other payware aircraft) on my mid-level system (p4 2.53 ghz, Radeon 9800 Pro).Dale Dale
May 22, 200521 yr HI Dean,I think Swreg had a busy night. If you would kindly e-mail me we will sort it out. The vast majority of customers are getting through fine. Apologies for the delay in your case.Kind Regards,Rob Youngwww.realairsimulations.com Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

May 22, 200521 yr Commercial Member Bought the upgrade last night and I must say I'm blown away by this aircraft yet again. The smooth VC and head movement simulation absolutely seals the deal as far as realism is concerned - I don't know that there's a better PC simulation of the feeling of actual flight anywhere. This airplane is a classic and represents everything that a payware addon should be in my opinion. Thanks again to Rob, Sean, and Tim for making the update! May 23, 200521 yr No worries Rob. It looked to be an issue with Firefox. Worked fine with IE. I've now bought it twice for two PCs. Worth every penny. A stunning job m8. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
