Probably best to bring this up to your nav data service provider. If it worked before, and now it doesn't, that's probably the issue.

I don't know Kyle I use the 777 to fly in the other day but this was the first time to fly out?

 

 

Just load the same flight in the A319 and all there as it should be useing same AICA 1502

 

So why could the Suddenly not working the 777?

 

Just load another airport and entered it was a arriveal and still error "no in data base?"

 

Reinstalled 1502 still the same

If you were to run the installers the old way instead of via the updater, you'd notice that each developer has their own format. We use text files. I think FeelThere uses an Access database. Other devs use other methods. Because of this, it's entirely possible that a problem may arise for one product and not present itself in another.

 

So, again, boiling this down to scientific method here:

Before nav data update. No issue.

After nav data update. Issue.

Same code for the 777 prior to and after that nav data update.

NO Kyle, I never said it started after an update.

I use this same 1502 last week I had no problems till tonight and no updates or anything. Did 3 flights over weekend like I said it started tonight ive not updated u i  re install now to try and fix it.

Here is a copy inside PMDG nav

 

EDIT: I just loaded FSX(all the above is P3d2.5) and all is fine!!!

 

So Kyle a pretty clear issue not!

Download and install the data using the just released PMDG V2 1502 AIRAC at Navigraph and the manual installer - that may take care of your problem.

So Kyle was actually right after all. Time for an apology perhaps?

Sometimes the Navigraph installers point to the wrong folder. If you 'lose' more than one airport, that is a likely cause.

None necessary for me. If it was enough of a budge for anyone to have a look at the root of a cause in the future, that's good enough for me.

Kyle thought I had updated and that was the problem, it was not, for some strange reason tonight it stopped working I even copied the same file and added in the fsx from my p3d copy and it worked fine. So Wes your wrong.

Yes updating to v2 solved what ever it was but 1502v1 had been working fine and i still see no reason for it to stop from one night to another. Do you understand that point? It was NOT a update that made it go wrong like Kyle was saying.

Ah... sorry for the assumption. I haven't really messed with up-to-date data recently since I've been uninstalling and reinstalling products so much recently to test the various builds, so I had just assumed there was a nav data update that came out in between.

 

In that case, based on your comment that you had flown in but not out (or vice versa), it might've just been a latent issue that sat dormant until now since the last change. Not trying to back pedal, but in the case of missing data, it's usually more of an issue with the nav data that got installed (or its formatting/location etc) and not a bug. In cases like this, it's usually best to confirm it's not a nav data issue before sending someone on a hunt through our code for an issue that may or may not exist.

Hang on im confused, was the error in the nav data or not? I have had nav data go bad on me (corrupt) before. Which still means it was the navdata at fault, just not a fault of the data provider, or PMDG.  :unsure:

I think the issue here was caused by the navdata and was fixed by the update which has been released by navigraph.

I have no idea what that problem was.

 

Since I bought the 777(P3D) I loading in 1502 I also run FSX.

I bought UK2000 EGPK and over the last week and weekend have flown in there a few times with the 777. With all working as it should.

Last night for the first time I planed a flight (PFPX with same 1502) from EGPK - EGBB. When staring to use the FMC the min I entered EFPK I got an error, No Runways SID, nothing.

 

OK Closed P3d and started again, the same.

Loaded to another airport and entered EGPK as the arrival, same error?

 

Quick out, load the same flight in FSX all fine and that's using the 1502 file that was loaded and been working in P3D for last 2 weeks.

I then copied over the EGPK file within FSX and dropped it in the P3D folder, deleted the P3d copy.

Load flight, just the same!

Re installed 1502, same!

So what was wrong? what would you at that point think " whats wrong"? 

 

Very strange and something ive never had before.

 

But DL the new!!!! v2 and its fixed it. Look at the file for EGPK and looks just the same as the one from v1.

 

Who knows?
