April 9, 201511 yr Yes. I use ASN for at least one year and with ifly 737 and pmdg 777 and all working very well until this monday. On monday i changed my installation. I installed PMDG 737NGX and updated ASN to SP2B. Now i have this problem described. Where is the problem? I am trying to find it. I will start reinstalling PMDG 737NGX. And then Reinstalling ASN. What are your suggestion? thanks.
April 9, 201511 yr Author Commercial Member Where is the problem? I am trying to find it. It might be ASN's SP2B, but also remember that weather radar only finds weather (specifically precipitation), and not just clouds. Are you sure your weather radar should've been showing something? Kyle Rodgers
April 9, 201511 yr I am changing ASN weather manually, including severe weather with CB clouds to test. At first time at the day, starting a computer and open FSX and ASN normally, the weather radar is working fine. I will do more tests tonight in order to update the forum with more informations. What i am very worried is why this process fnplicensingservice.exe is running. Is it suspicious? I found the folder where this file is installed. And into this folder i found a .XML file. I opened this file and i found some instructions and the words PMDG 737NGX and PMDG 777 are there. So, is this file part of PMDG 737NGX installation?
April 9, 201511 yr Author Commercial Member At first time at the day, starting a computer and open FSX and ASN normally, the weather radar is working fine. I'm not sure what you're doing here, but you should start ASN, and then start FSX. If you quit FSX, you should also quit ASN. If ASN isn't pushing weather into FSX for some reason, close and open ASN to see if it fixes it. So, is this file part of PMDG 737NGX installation? Yes. It's best left alone. Kyle Rodgers
April 9, 201511 yr All, Delete any references to the NGX or 777 in the %AppData%\Roaming\[Developer]\[sim]\SimObjects folder * *If you open a Windows Explorer window and type %APPDATA%, it will bring you right to the AppData folder. No need to go unhiding folders and so on. From there, you should be able to navigate to the appropriate directory. In APPDATA/ROAMING I see two folders with NGX references. PMDG and MICROSOFT/FSX/SIMOBJECTS. Should the NGX be deleted in both places. I didn't do this when I did the installation. I question this now because the Short Turn Panel State has the IRS switches in NAV rather than off. Michael Cubine

Follow the directions as indicated in my original post. The short turn panel state has always had the IRSs in NAV in FSX. Kyle Rodgers
April 9, 201511 yr The short turn panel state has always had the IRSs in NAV in FSX.This video by frooglesim shows them off at 17:54. Earlier in the video he says the panel state is short turn. Michael Cubine
April 9, 201511 yr Author Commercial Member by frooglesim shows them off at 17:54. Earlier in the video he says the panel state is short turn. Interesting... Regardless, I can guarantee you that it's not being caused by that other AppData folder. If it were, we'd be seeing panel state issues all over the forum. Heck, we'd be seeing more issues with the beta team, too, since this thread is the procedure we use to kill all data that could potentially interfere with the new install. Kyle Rodgers
April 10, 201511 yr This video by frooglesim shows them off at 17:54. Earlier in the video he says the panel state is short turn. He also says that he changed the state from the default PMDG one to fit his needs better (see 15:20). He's not using the default PMDG short turn state. There is an art . . . to flying. April 10, 201511 yr He also says that he changed the state from the default PMDG one to fit his needs better (see 15:20). He's not using the default PMDG short turn state. You are correct. My mistake. Michael Cubine
April 10, 201511 yr He also says that he changed the state from the default PMDG one to fit his needs better (see 15:20). He's not using the default PMDG short turn state. I also noticed that yesterday, although in the video at 15m20s he actually says: "slightly modified short turnaround sate"... B) Besides that it is a bit questionable for what he puts the IRS L&R to off for a short turn state at the ramp. In RW you would probably have IRS alignment problems with the A/C being (de-)loaded and some 150 PAX "jumping around"... BTW: the frooglesim video is funny to watch and gives a huge overview for what is possible in/available for FSX/P3D today, not only for beginners. He makes some minor "mistakes", but most of them he corrects immediately, some (more or less "matters of taste") remain uncommented though. All in all a good source of information and for sure "froogle" has knowledge over a wide range of A/Cs, FSs, hardware etc. out there. A real "FS freak", hard-working enthusiast with the talent to inspire others. The FS-world should have some more of "that kind"... Claus KUEPPER
April 23, 201511 yr Just reinstalled NGX as described earlier by Kyle...OC shows up but no options available under NGX in pulldown menu...just shows ad for purchase of NGX...can someone help please? Thanks! Steven Leingang
April 23, 201511 yr Steven, FSX or FSXSE? New NGX installation or updating a version? The OC updates a log file on every launch (appData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center) named PMDG Operations Center.log. Peek in there and see if it is finding your simulator and the NGX module and the installed variants. Text may look similar to this: 13:34:36.161 Loading Module from file: c:\program files (x86)\pmdg operations center\Product Module 737NGX XSE.dll 13:34:36.161 Loading Module 13:34:36.227 13:34:36.229 PMDG 737NGX XSE - Product Module Loading 13:34:36.229 13:34:36.231 PMDG 737NGX XSE - Checking product version 13:34:36.231 Checking key: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{20708FD5-E94D-4097-A21E-E28564CDBC06} 13:34:36.233 Installed version: 1.10.6461 13:34:36.235 13:34:36.237 PMDG 737NGX XSE - Product Module Initializing 13:34:36.237 13:34:36.238 PMDG 737NGX XSE - Finding installed variants 13:34:36.238 Variants: 8 13:34:36.240 Variant 1: PMDG 737-800NGX 13:34:36.242 Path: F:\SteamLibrary\XPlane10\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800NGX\aircraft.cfg 13:34:36.243 Found variant!
