April 4, 201511 yr Author Lockheed Martin doen't upport older versions other than the current one. Whelp! I am screwed then... I need it cause Active Sky doesn't work cause when I went from 2.3 to 2.4 I did n't download the SDK so I have P3D v2.4 but my SDK is 2.3 I juust realized I have the MSI for 2.4 SDK I must have downloaded and not installed. But when I went toio install it gave me the option to repair. Hmm... I am confused. My simconnect is 2.3 not 2.4 Potion of my FSUIPC.log SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 1030 Trying to use SimConnect Prepar3D 70341 Running in "Lockheed Martin® Prepar3D® v2", Version: 2.3.11345.0 (SimConnect: 2.3.0.0) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
April 4, 201511 yr Author All right I just realized I am still on V2.3 not on V2.4 as I have been thinking. Dang! Now I don't have V2.3---> 2.4 Patch! Anyone knows where I can get this? I cannot go to v.25 I am still on 2.3 not on 2.4 Hmm.... I need the 2.3 to 2.4 patch Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
April 4, 201511 yr Where would you expect from: Updates to Prepar3D v2.4 are available in both a patch to an existing v2.3 installation, or as a new installer from your Purchased Downloads page. http://www.prepar3d.com/news/2014/09/5676/ Gerry Howard
April 4, 201511 yr Author Where would you expect from: If you click on that download link..it takes you to their 2.5 version. It looks like LM doesn't host the earlier files. I wish I had known. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
April 4, 201511 yr Moderator So? Why can you not go to 2.5? Seems to me it would solve all your problems AND it's much better than 2.3-4 with more bugs fixed. P3D is in development and LM has stated that they do not support prior versions. I can see waiting a bit to see what the reports are on a new version but you are now 2 versions and 2 hotfixes behind. Also, ASN doesn't support earlier versions either so if you upgrade ASN, it won't work. I suggest you bite the bullet and install 2.5. April 4, 201511 yr Agree, v2.4 is just going to leave you in a bad position going forward with LM and/or any 3rd party products. Cheers, Rob.
April 4, 201511 yr Author v2.4 is just going to leave you in a bad position going forward with LM and/or any 3rd party products. Yeah eventually I would do a full install.. But I want to fly around and enjoy my sims for a while.. I bought the Flightmax TQ and I am configuring and testing it and having a blast. LOL I wish someone who has teh 2.3--> 2.4 patch would send it to me. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

April 4, 201511 yr Moderator Sorry to say I don't have the 2.3 => 2.4 patch any longer. I have only the 2.4 full installer archived on my Personal Cloud... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
April 4, 201511 yr Why would anyone need the P3d SDK to run ASN? As an aside, since the full FSX SDK is not available with FSX-SE, users of FSX-SE are hunting around for illegal copies of the P3d SDK that have been uploaded to various websites.
April 4, 201511 yr Author Why would anyone need the P3d SDK to run ASN? You better watch it. ASN needs minimum 2.4 I have 2.3 I believed I was in 2.4 and purchased ASN. I then realized via their help that I am still on 2.3 not 2.4. So I am looking for 2.3 to 2.4 Patch Do you have a problem? if you can help help..otherwise get lost Don Quixote!
