May 14, 201511 yr Most definitely with half tanks and two on board it shouldn't be much of an issue. We've flown our club 180 in and out of 300m strips with ease. Just make sure to read up the technique for short take-off and landings (which should be included in the A2A documentation - haven't got it to hand right now). 900ft? Must of been a really low density altitude that day with no obstacles to worry about getting over. I've barely cleared the trees on hot days coming off our 2400ft runway. But during the winter I'm airborne before the halfway point usually. This is in a Cherokee 140.
