September 9, 20169 yr Hi all, first: thanks for this Mesh, it's a great improvement to FSX. I hold all the torrents for the base packages and the patches open for transfer. But i found a little bug. There is a folder "FreeMeshX - South and Central America". In the base pack the folder name is missing the first space (between "FreeMeshX" and the "-"), but the patches have this space in their folder name. So i suggest to insert this missing space right after installing the base packs, before you install the patches. Then all will be fine. If this was mentioned earlier in this thread, i sorry for double posting this then. regards.

September 23, 20169 yr Author Wow ewi, that PTA adds some nice effects to the shaders.I kind of wish there was an equivalent thing for FSX. Daniel Moser

October 6, 20169 yr Hello, i recently reinstalled FSX and i kind of remember that there were more versions and patches. Do i need to get version 1.0 here, then 1.05, 1.06 and 1.07? Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

October 14, 20169 yr Hello, I use FreeMeshX in my P3D v2.5 and I love it - huge thanks for your great work! So far I've noticed the problem with three places: -> there is collapse of land next to the Tatry-Poprad airport LZTT using this scenery: http://www.avsimrus.com/files.phtml?action=download&id=53456 -> there is mesh problem with the Pula airport LDPL using this scenery: http://secure.simmarket.com/davor-puljevic-pula-x.phtml -> and finally sometimes I have a problem with terminal at the Modlin-airport EPMO using the Warsaw City X scenery by Drzewiecki Design: http://secure.simmarket.com/drzewiecki-design-warsaw-city-x-fsx-p3d.phtml Do you see any chance to exclude this areas from FreeMeshX or give me some suggestions on how to deal with the mesh problems there? I can send you the screenshots if necessary. Thanks in advance for your respone. Regards, Marcin
October 16, 20169 yr Author Hi Martin, Do you have screenshots so that I can see the issues? I can tell you if these are fixable on my end or not. Daniel Moser

Any comments will be highly appreciate Cheers Yair Hi Yair, I highly recommend you use FreeMeshX with FTX Global and Vectors. Vectors and FreeMeshX both are based on SRTM data. As for the Pacific coast, are you speaking of the USA Pacific coast? If so, then no as there are no changes to the already great default USA mesh. I am working on a side project to update the USA with its own high res dataset, but that is still WIP. As for other coastlines along the Pacific (let's say South America), then the improvement can be often dramatic. Is it better than your FSGenesis? IDK. I never had an FSGenesis product before. Looking at their website they have a bunch of products so I'm not sure which one you are asking to compare. I can tell you that FreeMeshX Global is the most comprehensive LOD10 mesh product out there using the most up to date SRTM data. Many (expensive) global payware meshes are still based on older SRTM2 data. If you're flying over ORBX FTX regions, then those include their own replacement meshes. You won't really need FreeMeshX in that regard. Absolutely compatible with FSX, FSX:SE, and P3D. Daniel Moser
