July 6, 200520 yr I have been debating on buying another aircraft... Was interested in the Pilatus PC-6 from FSD.. But a couple people have also suggested the AeroWorx B200...One question I have is the maintenance on the B200 such as tire wear etc... If you do not fix them or do maintenance can an engine quit or a tire blow? That is really getting my goats right there... That is another reason why I was thinking about the FSD Pilatus PC-6 but I haven't had much input on the maintenance stuff etc on the Pilatus... Thanks,
July 6, 200520 yr I suppose you can blow a tire, I never have, I like the wear feature not sure why you wouldnt it doesnt cost you real money. Plus you can adjust the rate of wear. You can also ruin an engine if you dont follow the proper start sequence. It is fantastic. I dont own the Pilatus and dont plan on getting it. I have notheing against the plane or developers but since I have the B200 I see no other reason to have anything else. I pretty much have one turbo prop one GA singie and a piston twin and that is all the GA flying I do. I would recommend the B200 it is great and I havent heard too many complaints around here from owners of the product.Andrew Andrew

Wish I could get a few more from owners of this plane... That would be wild if you could actually blow a tire if you let them go for awhile.. Thanks Again,
July 6, 200520 yr I own a lot of GA pay aircrafts. What can I said, the aeroworx is the best pay twin engines,it worths every single penny it costs. No comparison with theothers.ByeRoberto
July 6, 200520 yr Hey Josh,I have the B200, have had it a long time, and have yet to blow a tire, but nonetheless prevented that by replacing the tires, as you would in RL.As in RL, proper maintenance is done to prevent these occurences. That's why I enjoy the B200, it allows for your consideration of these things and prevent them.Same for the FSD aircraft specifically the PC-6, they allow for wear, proper engine care, proper maintenence. Again striving towards how it would be in RL. You really can't go wrong going with either developer, I have the utmost respect for both Aeroworx and FSD International, they are both TOP notch developers with very very good support. They pay attention to the details, and get it right. The decision for you is based on which aircraft appeals to you more, the sleek and fast B200, or the awesome STOL capabilities of the PC-6, which make it fun to fly, it's up to you. -----------------------------"There is an art . . . to flying. July 6, 200520 yr I fly a real 200 for a living. My DO (director of ops) was over here the other day and I was showing him the aeroworx model, he was amazed. To be quite honest this is the only model I have out of literally hundreds that I consider to be a simulator, the rest are just toys for me to play with. B Bjorkman
July 6, 200520 yr I can just second the above opinions, RUN dont walk to get it, best fs-aircraft in its class, period! I've tried the FSD P180 F1:s Cessna 421 and 441, and even though they
July 6, 200520 yr Actually, I think you should hold off buying the B200. Why? Because V2.0 is due out this summer ;-) The Aeroworx B200 and the freeware Aerocommander are the only two GA planes I fly. Mike
July 6, 200520 yr Yes, it is true, but the v2.0 upgrade is free for the v1.0 owners. So why to wait for the upgrade. You could start to enjoy this little jewel right now.Roberto
July 6, 200520 yr I own both the Aeroworx B200, the FSD PC-6 and the Flight 1 PC-12. All are very great aircraft. If I had to pick one that is the best overall, the B200 wins hands down. :DI also own the freeware Turbine Commander and it is also a great addon! :D Plenty of good stuff to go around....Kev
July 6, 200520 yr Hi therehere is a link to a really great review by a real B200 driverhttp://www.simhq.com/_air3/air_112a.htmlone of the best reviews i have read for any payware aircraft
July 6, 200520 yr Hello All, Speaking of that review -- as a pilot who HAS flown a King Air from time to time, I can say that review was totally awsome and I too hold the same opinion of the B200 both real and in Aeroworks form. A lovely twin to fly -- so glad I bought it. Totally enjoyable and realistic.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Dopke (Clay)Major, USAF (retired)"Drac"
July 6, 200520 yr All I can say is the B200 is the best, i fly it more than the PMDG737, and that says a lot. July 6, 200520 yr Josh,The maintenance module in the Aeroworx is very good...but with wear settings at normal, and reasonably good flying technique, you'll take quite a while to wear down the tires. Most of my flying has been long-haul stuff, 2 hours and longer, but I've got 50+ cycles on the airframe and have just begun to put some wear on the tires. As has been mentioned, with "hot starts" enabled, improper engine starting technique will earn you a hot start and a failed engine. If you exceed a certain airspeed with flaps or gear extended, you'll do damage there, too...and those will need to be fixed before you fly again. I generally include a check of the "repair page" as part of my pre-flight inspection, top up the oil and check wear on the tires and propellers. I've never had a lack of engine oil (or old oil) cause an engine failure, but it can happen with the B200's maintenance module. Don't wait for release of the V2.0 to get this outstanding bird...the fix list for the V2.0 makes it look as though there were problems with the V1.0, but that's simply not the case. The Aeroworx B200 is at the head of the class for fidelity with the real thing. July 6, 200520 yr Hi folks, I bought the Aeroworx B200 only a week ago myself. Frankly, I was astonished. I could not understand why this plane has not a higher profile in the FS world. It is so detailed and realistic. You can find photos of the realworld Kingy on sites such as Airliners.net and when you look at the B200 VC there is not a switch missing or a dial out of place. But what is really amazing is that they all work! Talk about value! Beats me how Aeroworx can model a plane of this complexity so completely and still make a buck. If you don't like the maintenance module, simply turn it off! I have, while I'm learning procedures like how to start the thing without frying the engines. As other have said, V2 will be out soon and free to existing owners of V1.
