What else besides FSNAV...

Besides FS Navigator, what other software has a great moving map (either payware or freeware). I've already checked out FSM Moving Map as well. Thank you.

FSFK has a better moving map than FSNav - it also shows Ai aircraft. You can download a limited trial version here www.molitor-home.de/fs/FLKeeper/News.htmlCheers,

HiLook also at : www.fscommander.comRegardsWilly

Although I prefer FSNav to FSCommander, the latter one has one nice advantage since you can run it on another computer using Widefs.

Never fly without it anymore. Not completely sold on the moving map as an alternative to FSNavigator but perhaps a combination od more than one of the tools available is worth doing even a paper map or atlas is handy at times.Andrew Brownhttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

Thank you.I also use FS Flight Keeper with FSMMoving Map. My setup works great with both being on a second PC. The moving map gives me complete US Sectional coverage as I run FS Flight Keeper minimized on the client. The ACARS feature of FLight Keeper gives me tons of info on the simulator, the plane, the weather, the flight plan, web ACARS and lots more. I would highly recommend looking for a "retired" second PC and get a small network running. The options are far better than running FSNav on one PC or any other moving map application. HelloI found myself needing a flightplanner that ran outside of FS9when i upgraded to ActiveSky V, So far i am using Super Flight planner3.0 beta 5 which is freeware and have just purchased Airplan 8.2 as reviewed here at Avsim in the last week and looks great value at $29.00 as it uses sectionals and internet lookup of airport details.

Hi,if you have the chance to use a second computer, nothing beats Jeppesen FliteMap and/or OziExplorer. FliteMap is great, but expensive if exclusively used for flightsimming. Ozi is more affordable, as current charts that can be used for it are available on the net for no (FAA, sectional chart, first picture) or small (www.myairplane.com, low enroute chart, second picture) money.http://mitglied.lycos.de/simdream/seattle.jpghttp://mitglied.lycos.de/simdream/Ozi1.jpg

'ALLO 'ALLOThe flight planner in FS2004 works fine - but using the mouse to click it up is a pain! PLUS - when it comes into view, all other monitors go off until it's clicked out. Is there a simple (beginners) flight planner that can be bought and installed that can be fired up without wrecking the displays - and with keyboard display/hide facilities? Using the mouse once it's up on screen is OK.Probably asking too much? Here's hoping.TONY. U.K.

Hello Airplan from razors edge software is a nice planner that can be run over wideFs, It was reviewed here and has a 30 day demo

Hi Geof, are you satisfied with the precision of the calibration of the myairplane charts in combination with the specific PDA program? Is it consistent throughout the chart? I purchased an older myairplane charts DVD from Dennis and wasn

The old one also I was not too impressed with. To be honest I just got this-I'll let you know. I heard it got a big award at this years Oshkosh as the best product or some such thing so I would hope it is now accurate.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

Hi,Am I right in saying you really want a moving map/planner andnav system that can be used on the same PC in the same 3D window? If so - then NOTHING can compare with FSNav!!!!!

I think the complexities of FSX has begun to drive the small guy developers out of the business. FSNav was developed by one guy who probably works on it a couple of hours a night. He can't keep up with the software improvements it would appear. Or, he has just lost interest. Larger development teams are going to take over the Add-On market for MSFS going into the future.Give up on FSNav, it was a great flight planner for earlier releases of MSFS, but it's flight is over.
