July 11, 201510 yr Short of the 777 by PMDG and the 767 by CS, which pond crossers have you guys used to make it from the US to the UK in one flight? Anything with the range but smaller than a 737 out there?
July 11, 201510 yr A318 does, BAW1 is London City > Shannon > JFK and then back to London City with BAW2 However, I believe it's a 23 seat business class only flight in order to have low weight https://fr.flightaware.com/live/flight/BAW1 Chris Smith
July 11, 201510 yr I'll have to leave specifics to others, but I think there are a handful of business jets with long range versions that can cross the pond. Eric Szczesniak
July 11, 201510 yr Aside from business jets, A319s, A318s (as mentioned above), and 737-700s and -800s are in airline service across the Atlantic. Air Canada flies/used to fly the A319 from St. Johns to Heathrow, BA has the A318 from JFK to London City, Europe Airpost flies the 737-700 from Halifax to Dublin, and both Sun Country and Westjet have/had transatlantic routes with the 737-800. Also, in terms of 'pond crossers', don't forget the 757, which flies many different transatlantic routes. It is modeled in fairly good detail by Quality Wings. Finally, the Simcheck A300 may be a good option if you're into some retro flying.
July 11, 201510 yr Author Have any of you guys attempted an A318/319 crossing? I'm also wondering if the Carenado Hawker has the legs to make it in one jump. With a range of 2900NM with crew and 6 pax, I wonder if a lighter load would equate to better fuel consumption, giving it just enough to get there? Has anyone tried a crossing like that without a fuel stop?

July 15, 201510 yr Moderator FSLabs' Concorde-X only seats 100 which is 'smaller' (or fewer) than a 737. But you can hop the pond in 3h 20m rather than the 7-8 hours of a sub-sonic jet. Criusing 11 miles up at 23 miles a minute or 1,350mph. Go on, treat yourself! Just make sure you have runways of 7,000ft or longer for landing. Ray (Cheshire, England).
