September 19, 201510 yr Author I don't have a response from John yet. It's only been a few hours but hopefully he'll respond. The automated system does work, but I couldn't get the key since it said my email was not in the database. So I sent JD my new email and hopefully I'll get the key, thanks.
September 20, 201510 yr I tried to make contact last week to get a new key since I had to reinstall my RC4. The code that came in my last email from JD does not work in the most recent download even though they are the same version. Just trying to keep things that I've paid for up and running. Be sure the product code you sent to jd included any "-" if prersent. When pasting the code in from the e-mail be sure you didn't get any extra spaces before or after the characters when pating into the registration dialog box the Win frequenty adds in a copy-paste situation. The cursor should rest just before the first character and not go back and right after the last going forward as you sweep the cursor over the key using the arrow key on you keyboard.
September 20, 201510 yr Prior to switching to VATSIM 100% of the time, I used to dread reloading this software. If JD can no longer offer prompt and accurate service, maybe he should consider changing the security scheme or offer RC4 as freeware...Just a thought, but we've seem more and more post like this.... I appreciate that getting keys can sometimes drag on longer than could be reasonably expected but as far as I know no legitimate owner of RC4 has ever failed to get a key. JD doesn't visit this forum but I have sent PMs to those having key problems and they do get sorted. There's a fine balance between sufficient security to prevent piracy and customer satisfaction. I would also add that if RC was to be sold via SimMarkets or the like then the price would undoubtedly rise as they would quite correctly need to add their costs to the price.
