October 9, 201510 yr I have the code in the dll.xml but can't fined exe.xml. What folder is it in? It didn't get created yet because no addon needed it yet. Goflight doesn't need the exe.xml Steve McNitt

October 9, 201510 yr It needs to be in the exe.xml, like so <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>EXE.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Name>GoFlight Hardware Interface</Name> <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight\GFDevFSX.exe</Path> <CommandLine> </CommandLine> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document>

October 9, 201510 yr Only one problem… My EXE.XML will not execute anymore ever since I moved to windows 10… Any ideas? Chas Does the GFDevFSX.exe data bridge launch manually, if it does then run it via Fsuipc's run command. If that won't work hopefully you've still got your Win7 DVD ?
October 9, 201510 yr I don't think GFconfig driver installer has been updated to add the entries for P3Dv3 yet. So the exe.xml will not get updated. If you use Goflight Interface Tool though it doesn't even need the data bridge to work, the data bridge is only needed if you use GF config to setup your controls. also: <Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>GoFlight Hardware Interface</Name><Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight\GFDevP3D.exe</Path><CommandLine></CommandLine></Launch.Addon> You do not want the GFDevFSX.exe unless you use FSX - it may work with the FSX version but not sure Steve McNitt
October 9, 201510 yr Beyond the point of return regarding going back to Windows 7, so I'm wondering whether my format is incorrect or somehow EXE.XML has been misplaced. Thanks, Chas My first sim flight simulator Take a ride to Stinking Creek! http://youtu.be/YP3fxFqkBXg Win10 Pro, GeForce GTX 1080TI/Rizen5 5600x OCd,32 GB RAM,3x1920 x 1080, 60Hz , 27" Dell TouchScreen,TM HOTAS Warthog,TrackIR5,Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals HP reverbG2,Quest2
October 9, 201510 yr Beyond the point of return regarding going back to Windows 7, so I'm wondering whether my format is incorrect or somehow EXE.XML has been misplaced. Thanks, Chas Have you tried deleting the file and creating a new one with just the basics in there? This is what an empty one should look like, your addons would go in the space above </SimBase.Document> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>exe.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> </SimBase.Document> EDIT: You need to use Notepad++ or something similar and save it as an .xml file so the encoding would be right if you are making it from scratch, I don't believe you can just use notepad. October 10, 201510 yr Author I manually directed it to Prepar 3d v3 and doesnt work for me . What else can I do? If you go into the goflight folder on your harddrive you see a file called gfdevp3d.exe or somthing like that make a shortcut and place it on your desktop once you launch p3d click on the shortcut and launch the goflight program and it'll work ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI.
