Anyone got Goflight modules working yet?

Featured Replies

How do I run it manually? Double click GFDevP3D from the GF folder?

Yes. If that works I will PM you a link to some updated beta drivers that will hopefully fix the admin privileges issue.

Thx

Check you have configured your modules on the P3D tab of GFConfig.

Now solved.

Thanks very much for all your help.

I got mine working...  Yes.. I installed the latest P3D version of this  amazing tool

And then I had a peculiar problem.. where I had to delete (I renamed the folder in the documents folder."GoFlight Interface Tool"

It rebuilds the PMDG.xml  and voila..its now working. my file probabaly got corrupted couple of weeks ago.

Thanks Steve for your help

Got an email this morning that Goflight has issued a revision for p3d v3. Has anyone tried it yet?

Terry Dewberry

Hi Terry,

It just fixes an issue where run as administrator was not working on some systems, nothing else has changed.

Best wishes

Hi all,

I have some issues.

I am running Windows 10. P3D v3

I can configure the unit fine with no problems with the goflight software.

When I run P3D I get nothing on the GF-46 unit.

So I then went and ran GFDevP3D, this got the display working and I had some functionality in P3D.

I then got left with two problems, when flicking through the modes the unit freezes eventually. I also can only change the 117. say for Nav1 and not the 117.XX ie after the decimal??

Can anyone help?

I am running the latest goflight software from the website downloaded last night...

Thanks

Is your GF-46 the grey or black faced unit?

MSFS & XP11 - Aviatek G1000 Complex Desktop Trainer - Fulcrum One Yoke - TPR Rudder Pedals - VF TQ6 Throttle - LG 55" OLED Display

Hi

It's the grey faced one???

Thanks v much

Try running GFDev and GIT as admin ... also make sure you don't have duplicate GFDev entries in your EXE.XML and DLL.XML files (check both directory locations as they get merged when P3D loads).

Under Win10 I've only been able to get GFDev 2.25.2 to work with the latest GIT.

Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob,

I am going to need some more details on this as I don't quite understand the jargon?? GIT? I don't know where to find those .XML files either?

Thanks for your reply!

M

GIT = GoFlight Interface Tool  (see here: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/products/goflight-interface-tool.html )

Unfortunately DLL.XML and EXE.XML is located in two folder paths and the get merged, however duplicate entries can still be loaded (not a good thing).  These two files are located here:

Example (your user name will be different):

C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

AND

C:\Users\Rob\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

Check both folders above and edit the DLL.XML and EXE.XML in both folders and make sure they don't have duplicate entries.

If you aren't using GIT (sounds like you aren't) and only using the GFDev (standard GoFlight), then set the GFDev.exe to "Run As Administrator".

Cheers, Rob.
