Traffic Options in UT are set to 55 for Airline and 10 for GA.  In P3D v3 they're set 0 and 0.  I've tried 100/100

Wow.  No, it's not in the pull down menu!

there is an addon pull down top right in p3d menu - where fsuipc is - you should now see ut2 menu items there are they there ? also turn up your traffic sliders in p3d menu

Rich,

I've set traffic to 100/100 in P3D.  There is no UT menu at the top of P3D.  I've got any number of add-ons showing; EZDok, Couati, and FSUIPC to name a few.  There is no UT.  However, it's there in my root directory under Flight One Software.  The aircraft are in my SimObjects/Aircraft folder as UT2 Aircraft.   Strange.

I also looked at my FSX.exe in the root directory.  It appears as an Application but shows 0 data.  I don't know if that's supposed to be or not.

If its not showing in p3d pull down its not installed correctly - did you use the correct version of Estonia tool - tell me which one you downloaded - You also enabled the tool before installing UT2 right

Also you have to install UT2 from the flight1 exe where you put your credit card info - if you did not use that installer it will not work either

You need the last installer on this page

Rich,

I'm going to uninstall UT and the Summer 13 schedule.  Then I'm going to do a reinstall using the latest migration tool and will reinstall using the UT2 installer from flight1.  I downloaded it today and used the old key for the reinstall - all seemed to go well.

Whatever, I'll work on it in the morning and report back.  Thanks for your help.

Yes Chuck that sounds good - should work - enable that tool before installing also enable it to make changes to your ai in UT2 gui as you have no control over it in P3D - good luck - let me know how it goes - should work next time

Any thoughts or suggestions?

 Is the UT2Services.exe added to your EXE.xml file for p3d?

i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200,  RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

Now I'm the one having a problem!  I installed UT2 on P3D v3.1 using the migration tool (no FSX or P3D v2 installed).  I couldn't see traffic so I've spent the afternoon following various suggestions in this thread including adding a v2 "dummy".   My simobjects seem fine, etc.. I also went ahead and installed my Summer 2013 without problem.

Firstly, are you hearing the "Ultimate Traffic 2 initialised" audio when P3D is loading?

If you are, have you added the following statement to the [MAIN] section of your Prepar3d.cfg file?

SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\UT2 Aircraft

I aslo have an additional statement here for my Airplanes AI folder (I keep all of my AI planes separate from my user controlled planes)....

SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Airplanes AI

I appreciate everyone's help.  I did a complete uninstall of UT2 and made sure any left over components were removed.  I disabled my anti-virus and firewall.  Using the latest migration tool I installed UT2 - the latest version downloaded yesterday from Flight1.  Leaving the migration tool enabled I checked in my P3D.cfg to make sure UT2 Aircraft is in [Main] SimObjectPaths - it is as .1.  I made sure that.

I opened UT2settings.cfg in appdata\roaming\FlightOneSoftware\Ultimate Traffic 2 and set the FSX cfg File Location to the FSX.cfg which was a renamed copy of the Prepar3d.cfg,  I set the FSX location=G:\Prepar3D v3 which is where my install is located.

I can start the UT2 shortcut and change the number of aircraft.  But when I start P3D I don't hear the UT2 start sound and no aircraft load.  There is nothing pertaining to UT2 showing in my Add-Ons at the top of my display.  I do have traffic set at 100% in both UT2 and P3D.  So, I'm still at a loss.

Chuck this is where your problem may lie as stated above why would you do that should have tried it before you did that tool should have taken care of everything - thats where I went wrong changing things not knowing it was all set after installed with tool - try reversing what you did - meaning the edited changes you made and try it again - load sim not reinstall -  as you dont have fsx right you are trying to use this for prepar3d right ?

Ah I see what you did - I didnt have to change this at all didnt even know I could really

You should post this below (yours) and the contents of your exe.dll file so I can can compare it

[Main]
FSX cfg File Location =C:\Users\rsvet\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\FSX.cfg
FSX Location=C:\P3D\

Rich,

Yes this is P3D v3.1 without FSX on my computer (though it was at one time but has since been removed).  It will be difficult for me to recreate the original UT2 settings - just two entries but not sure what they were.  I do know that UT2 was looking for a FSX.cfg, not a P3D.cfg?

What do you have in your UT2 setting?
