November 8, 201510 yr There is a YouTube channel by a guy named Matt Cochran that usually puts me in the mood to fly. Most of his videos are hanging around spotting at KATL, but the catch is that he provides an often humorous and wacky running commentary on what he sees. Here is a link to his channel and here is a link to one of his better videos to give you a taste of his style. Andrew Jones He ruins his aviation channel with such a childish political mentality
November 8, 201510 yr Easiest way in my opinion is to use a random letter generator like this one http://www.dave-reed.com/Nifty/randSeq.html You just let it give you two four letter words and then you check the corresponding airport ID in your flightsim. In my most recent case I got BGJN Ilulissat as a starting point, which is the third biggest town in greenland and Jonesville Mine, which is a private owned airfield in Alaska. So there might be pretty good reasons why one has to fly this specific route in RW and it all comes down to your choice of plane and flightplanning...
November 8, 201510 yr www.chilkootair.com - every flight is fully dispatched and we have around 50 pilots flying each month. We also use FScloud for online flights. The flight dispatches using the FSEconomy system are what really helps FS burnout.
November 8, 201510 yr This is a very interesting thread! I have been working abroad, in Sri Lanka, for two years, and rarely get to fly FS - just on trips to the UK for holidays. But my contract is up in a week and in anticipation of this I recently bought a new, all-dancing & -singing PC for FS9/FSX (mostly FS9!) - tested out on a recent trip home, and along with family, friends and good cheese, that is what I am most looking forward to upon my return! I've been flight-simming for some time now, so it's in my blood I think. Comments here have inspired me, after all this time, to join IVAO and BA Virtual, so hopefully I shall have even more reason to fly after next week, other than just habit (I agree, just loading up, even with FDC/PFE/AES et al, can get a bit routine between take-offs and landings)....
