a2a in P3D

Right so I purchased the 172 from A2A for FSX before P3D v2 came out. Now I use P3D v3...do I have to pay the upgrade, are there new installers, where do I download the latest installers?

You have to buy the P3D version

:(

Usually they release bundles for a bit more but you'll likely have to buy the P3D version which is minimum 60 bucks

All of your questions could have been answered, just by visiting A2A's site.  If you have already purchased a product from them, then you should already know that Unless you bought the combo version of an aircraft (Marked as FSX+P3D), then you need to buy a P3D version.  In case you are feeling bold, be aware that A2A's installers and updaters are very smart in detecting what is installed.

A2A comes across as very customer focused and the moderators and owners are very active in their forum.  I saw one thread where someone had purchased an FSX version of one of the planes and was looking at upgrading to the P3D version.  It looked like from the thread that they were working with him to upgrade to the combo pack FSX-P3D and paying the difference between what he had paid for the original FSX version.  You may want to reach out to them and see if you can work some kind of deal via a PM

A2A is very user aware. Some of their later products have a dedicated installer which must be purchased. Some of the earlier products do not have an installer but A2A has no problems with their use in P3D.

Let me tell you about my pain...... (just joking really);   I only bought the C172, C182, Cherokee and Comanche for FSX within the last 2-3 months. Three weeks ago I tried P3Dv3 and it's performance blew me away, so I decided I wanted to make it my sole flight sim......

I am now in the process of buying the P3D versions of the planes again (ouch) ...... bought the C172 for P3D just yesterday.

I did check the A2A forums and noted that when they first released the P3D versions, they provided a 'trade-in' deal where you could exchange your FSX licence for a P3D license.     That would have been perfect.   But they stopped offering this deal over a year ago.

So yes, pricey hobby this huh? ........ but the fact is, I love the A2A planes and couldn't be without them in P3D.   I can't afford to buy them all again at once, but it was C172 yesterday, and I'll pick the other P3D versions up one per month, over the next 3 months.

OK thanks for all the comments guys, I actually just purchased the 250 for P3D and so far I'm loving it, its really the PMDG or GA planes. Maybe I'll buy the 172 again once its on sale.
