November 25, 201510 yr Hello Captains, I wonder what is the correct procedure to deploy Reversers + Soilers in this bird. What i do: 1- Arm the Reversers - Green ligt on the pannel. 2- Press my joystick Autospoilers Arm Button 3- Perform a kiss landing(Well, very often  ) 4- I dont see reversers deloy, and sometimes i dont see the spoilers comming up. Im testing it during several flights..... im not sure what im doing wrong, may be this bird has autospoilers linked to the reversers? So im messing the AP by pressing the Spoilers arm command.... Thanks in advance.. a Pic for you: Raphael Chacón FLYSIMWARE-SM#1378797 RXP750-#1533812 RXP530-#1526291 RXP430-#1543520 FS2C #43560 #52175 #68068 #68152 #69299 #71201 #72243 #105040 SM#1325481 PMDG #60260 #73469 #144746 #194702 #196953 #230831 #236231 #251801 #266742 #336381 #397556
November 25, 201510 yr Just to confirm.....you are pressing/holding F2 to engage reverse right? If not see below... The reversers on this aircraft do not deploy automatically. If I understand the system correctly, the ARM function energizes / unlocks the system, allowing the Thrust Reversers to be used for landing (or for a rejected takeoff). They are disarmed after takeoff, and re-armed just before landing. The idea is to prevent accidental deployment in flight (which could be catastrophic) DB
November 25, 201510 yr Author Hey David, thaks for reply, Im not sure if im reversing using the assigned F2 function(Which in my case is fully controlled by FSUIPC). I have the lastest 1.6 update(For info). At this time, im about to reach SLLP, i will make sure to pulll my Saitek Throtles back to release the reversers according to your advise and see what happens. Question: Do i have to arm the spoilers on this aircraft? i see the little button right to the throtles, but im not sure if its just deply at touch or if its got the arming function too. Thats why im not sure if im doing correctly by pression the SPOILERS ARM button in my joystick... So far the procedure will be: 1- Arm the Reversers - Green ligt on the pannel. 2- Press my joystick Autospoilers Arm Button (Y/N) ????????? 3- Perform a kiss landing 4- Deploy Reversers by pulling my saitek throtles to the reversers detent 5- See if i have Spoilers + Reversers... Good Enough? November 25, 201510 yr I could be wrong but I do not believe the 35 has auto spoilers. Mitchell Haughee
November 26, 201510 yr Author Hey, Finally landed but, this time i dont have Reversers, no spoilers no nothing...... Gee..... And noticed something interesting.... After landing, the steering wont go back to normal, even after pressing the little button on the pedestal.... Light goes green but no steering at all.... Before installing V1. i can say i had the steering released and the reversers worked(No sound anyway). But this is the first landing on V1. and i get no braking assistance..... Well..... i dont know... November 26, 201510 yr Spoilers and TR's needs to be manually deployed after touchdown. In fact, TR's are an aftermarket STC add on for the Lear 35. Without them the pilots would employ aerodynamic braking by holding the nose off the ground. F-16's will commonly do the same thing. As Far as the NWS goes, we addressed a small issue in the latest patch so this may be a case of fix one item and another breaks. I will test in the morning after work and get back with you on this one. Matt Bernard20+ Years Commercial/GA A&P/PLST
November 26, 201510 yr Author Ok Guys, I tested the Plane during several Traffic Patterns around a small airport and it worked fine. Reversers and Spoilers manually deployed, as Matt said. Now im flying SLLP-SPIM to see if everything is ok (May be when i was arming the Spoilers i was messing the Autopilot...) Some pictures for the while(Enjoy): ((((Are those landing lights ok ????????? I see no apparent different betwen taxi and Landing Lights)))) I feel the interior lighting a bit weak... The pedestal panel has its own lighting? If i turn the cabin lights on(PAssenger lights) and open the door, i can have a little light on the pedestal, otherwise i have a very dark hole in the middle.... Well, apart from little details, let me land this bird in a while and test the Reversers+Spoilers according to Matt´s advice.... Raphael Chacón FLYSIMWARE-SM#1378797 RXP750-#1533812 RXP530-#1526291 RXP430-#1543520 FS2C #43560 #52175 #68068 #68152 #69299 #71201 #72243 #105040 SM#1325481 PMDG #60260 #73469 #144746 #194702 #196953 #230831 #236231 #251801 #266742 #336381 #397556
November 26, 201510 yr Hi After the 1.6 Update I have the very same "issue" as the topic-starter. I also have a Saitek Throttle with reversers mapped to the back-detend. In 1.5, it worked well, without sound though. Now it seems "random" to me. After touchdown there is no reaction but on the taxiway it workes ..? And yes, the NWS can be activated but not deactivated. Cheers, Marcel

Cheers, Marcel Hello Marcel, Are you by chance just "engaging" and not "using" the TR's? Using default key commands, you would hold down F2 to first open the TR's, then apply reverse thrust. Alternately, if you are using FSUIPC to map your controls, ensure you have the "repeat command" box checked for your chosen assignment. For instance, on my X-55, I have the little red button on under my left thumb set up for reverse thrust. On roll out I hold this down to activate, then use reverse thrust. Quick way to test is to go to an outside view, engage your assignment, and see what happens. If the TR's partially deploy, then retract, the assignment needs to be held. Compare it to the default assignment of holding down F2. As far as the NWS change in the new patch, I can test this once I get home from work. Yes, I am sitting at work at 0500 on Thanksgiving posting replies. Happy Thanksgiving all! Matt Bernard20+ Years Commercial/GA A&P/PLST
November 26, 201510 yr Commercial Member Yes the landing lights are ok as the taxi and landing lights share the same bulb. They just get brighter when both are on. The lights on the tip tanks are recognition lights.
November 26, 201510 yr Author Hello Captains,Well, this has been a set of many wonderfull flights with the LJ35A.Here the shots i promissed while testing the LJ in real IVAO IFR Tour Legs:1- Very Dark Areas in the Panel, in special the central pedestal...Real Pannel (May be some lighting works on the interior would be nice, not even at maximun diming in my Pic No1 would do like the following pic):Notice you can cearly see the left down buttons, and i bet right too...2- About to test TRs and Spoilers... ------> It Worked! I got Spolers + TRs! 3- Landing Lights ON - I would check the lighting.... Notice that the wing lights is not actually iluminating the plane surface at the wingtip, but being shopped by the surface... Other angle views will help you get it. May be the lights are places too deep into the surface... Dont know...4- Taxi Lights Only.... Taxi lights almost hidden by Moon light.... I got to say that light work is not bad at all. Im just trying to help this bird become even perfect ;-) I mean, we love it! :wink:So, a final compilation after the flight and reading the last msgs:1- The plane really has an Spoiler Arming functions? According to Flysimware statement i think it has, or will be added for fly sim only? I would preffer to kee real plane functionality. For the while we will use manual deploy for Spoilers(Not arming button). Arming button is messing my AP apparently(I Need more test to confirm).2- Even the arming lights will be fixed to be on upon sensing weight and idle thrust(Dont forget Rejected takeoff functions), for now, manual activation of reversers is working fine for me.Its been a pleasure to fly the LJ35A. I will keep in contact and see what happen about TRs and Spoilers during TO/Landing.Happy Flying... Raphael Chacón FLYSIMWARE-SM#1378797 RXP750-#1533812 RXP530-#1526291 RXP430-#1543520 FS2C #43560 #52175 #68068 #68152 #69299 #71201 #72243 #105040 SM#1325481 PMDG #60260 #73469 #144746 #194702 #196953 #230831 #236231 #251801 #266742 #336381 #397556
November 26, 201510 yr The aircraft does not have a spoiler arming system and they must be extended or retracted manually using the quadrant switch. Gary Stewart
November 26, 201510 yr Author Thanks Gary, Then i would keep the manual functionality and check why upon arming TRs you get Spoilers + TRs malfunction(My experience). I think that, a few touches here and there for the next updates and this will be a No.1 Business Plane to fly among the FS Community... Happy Flying... November 27, 201510 yr Commercial Member I removed the post section i talked about arming spoilers or arming reversers. None has auto features and both have to be used manually. I agree the taxi light needs more light. I noticed from sunset the lights are brighter and darker at late night. So i will double the taxi light.
November 27, 201510 yr Author Done for this post... Waiting for update... Thanks...
