November 27, 201510 yr I agree that GSX is a superior push back option, and loved it when I had it installed... but ... it still conflicts with EZDOC. Even if you set up GSX with different hotkeys to avoid the interference, EZDOC still gets randomly hammered and stops working completely with GSX usage. I tried many things to fix the problems, but couldn't avoid the random EZDOC dropouts. Without GSX installed, EZDOC works flawlessly for me. If anyone knows a foolproof fix to allow full compatibility, please let me know. EZDOC views are a far more important feature for me than GSX, so for now, I've opted to forego reinstalling GSX. Just wanted the OP to know that GSX is a superior push back utility, but that there are still problems with EZDOC. Very simple to fix. 1 Do your pushback with GSX ( because this is when it happens) 2 After the pushback, when the GSX person says to have a nice flight, or whatever he says, just open the GSX menu with you hotkey and immediately close it again. 3. To double check that this worked, just use your arrow keys to see if you can move your image back and forth with Ezdok, which shows EZdok is back to normal. I make this part of my pre=taxi check .
November 27, 201510 yr If you use the STRG + F12 (SHIFT + F) version, just press the combination twice again and EZDOK is working again. I know it's a bit annoying, but for me the only solution so far. Thanks, Phil. I was aware of that "trick" from reading the forums, but unfortunately it only works some of the time. Hopefully one or the other developer will make the necessary changes to eliminate the conflict. Thanks for that tip, Bob. I'll definitely give it a check after reinstalling GSX. And one additional note based on your comment above, "because this is when it happens" - The issue I experience seems to be connected to use of the FSX/P3D ATC window and/or the GSX window. For example, when taking a high speed taxiway off an active after landing I contact ATC for the gate assignment, and after closing the ATC window, EZDOC has quit working. No matter how many times I then cycle the GSX window or ATC window after that, EZDOC remains failed. Perplexing and frustrating for sure, but I am confident a fix will come along. I use Pro ATC for ATC so don't run into that issue. Sounds like maybe a key assignment conflict of some kind.

November 28, 201510 yr Author Seems like GSX is a must have add-on. Is it fully compatible with P3D v3? From my understanding, GSX is included with all FSDT and Flightbeam airports if you purchase them right? But if you want to be able to use GSX globally with non FSDT/FB airports, then you need to purchase a full copy? I also notice strange things in EZDOK as well, but I never knew the problem was due to a conflict with GSX. Sometimes when I'm using SHIFT+F1, etc to change my views using EZDOK, it'll work most of the time but sometimes it wont work at all and I end up having to restart P3D. I am using the latest EZDOK 1.18.7 btw. Whatever the issue is, I hope it gets fix. I can't fly without this add-on. Also when switching to an external cam in EZDOK, my pilots are missing. But if I use the built-in external spot camera, then it works. Quite annoying since I like to have the pilots there when taking screenshots. So I have to use the spot camera to do this. No its not included, ( you need to download the trial version) if you download the trial version of gsx it will work on all your fsdt airports and 3 default airports than if you like it than you can unlock the trial version by purchasing the full product which in turn will work on all airports. This is mentioned on the main gsx product page I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

November 28, 201510 yr What are the 3 default airports? A simple search at the gsx forum would have solved your issue but since I had a spare minute here are the 3 liml eddm ksfo more answer are found in the gsx forum if you have any more. Just download the trial version to see if it will work on your system since you will get the gsx pdf as well I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
November 28, 201510 yr I find that the PMDG pushback is not very flexible as to distance. If you select left or right, the distance defaults to 396 feet and can't be changed. I use GSX almost exclusively. Jeff Callender
November 28, 201510 yr Personally I'm looking forward to Ultimate Ground Crew X from Bryan York, the same guy who's behind FS2Crew.
November 28, 201510 yr Personally I'm looking forward to Ultimate Ground Crew X from Bryan York, the same guy who's behind FS2Crew. It should be good but it will be only be a push back etc not catering or de icing or refuelling etc as per gsx has I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
November 28, 201510 yr No, that's true but looking at the topic what the OP asked about was pushback and not catering and deicing. I have GSX myself but stopped using it after having decided to spend more time on actual flying rather than looking at animated baggage loaders

Reassign GSX to the Caps_Lock key instead of the Shift-F12 key, then you won't have an issue with EZDOK. Note the key assignment is in the Couatl key mapping menu not GSX Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
November 28, 201510 yr True but the catering services etc are extra bonus and there is no need to use them if you don't want to, just use the push back option. Yes, that's true but when using GSX being the perfectionist I am I always feel the need to adjust the pushback truck so it doesn't interfere with the airport scenery which is the case at some airports/gates and since I have quite a number of airports installed and the majority of them very large ones that becomes a very time-consuming job. I do think GSX is a great addon though although I've chosen not to use it for now.
