There we go ... Star wars guy is back!   (I haven't seen the new Star Wars yet, so no spoilers!)

Cheers, Rob.

Beautiful work!

Rich - you need 2 blue racing stripes down the center for that GT look.

Cheers

jja

Thanks Guys much appreciated - sorry no stripes  getting ready to pull my motherboard tomorrow - get that body armor painted and a few other things, then I can get serious - ordered a new lens for better pictures

More pics coming - installed waterblocks on motherboard and Titan X - should be cool

Going to run distilled water through loops to make sure its clean - pastel coolant is not the most forgiving route to go but looks awesome - keep you posted - late this Saturday I should have more pics to show

I would add a few more fans, Rich

  • You could leave it partially complete and surprise your pitiful rebel friends when they fail to shut down the shield generator and discover that the workstation is fully operational.   It's a beaut

  • Hi Rich,   do you have pix of your nuclear power station also Nice rig sir!!! Like alot. Lookin forward to the review of this beast.

This is going to be one hell of a gorgeous PC!

I must say, for a while I considered a custom loop for my new Skylake build and rigid tubing would have been my choice.

Looking forward to seeing the finished machine.

P.S. I must admit, at first glance I thought it was a vital component from the Enterprise. Perhaps something to do with regulating the dilithium crystals or something. Or maybe a Higgs Field modulator. Now I realise it's just a PC.

Be careful with the hard line Rich, not too tight and not too loose ... that type of semi-rigid tubing is difficult to seal and it will flex some with heat which can be a problem when you come to test it as you'll not be able to run heat thru it until the components are fired up.  Once you run it for a couple of hours cold and no leaks and no air bubbles, then get the paper towels out, do a complete component power boot and watch it like hawk for the first hour as heat builds up to make sure no leaks.

Any finally, when you start the OC route, you'll build up much more heat and should do another round of checking for leaks.

May the force be with you on startup.

Cheers, Rob.

Good info Rob - hand tight is what I do - a tool provided but not needed - this is not a rebuild on motherboard OS so running OC all ready - going to run water thru it and do test as you have stated after an hour if its stable i will drain it and use paste l coolant - will do home work on if I can run distilled water for an hour - chances are if its stable after an hour it will be good and after that watch like a hawk for sure with pastel coolant

Removed parts from my old case and ready to go in tomorrow night - have some parts to paint tomorrow first - fun stuff but getting closer now - pics soon  - thanks all for stopping bye - some great photos to come as I just ordered a new lens just for this build
