Recommended Posts

Why is the DC-6 only offered for Xplane, I was hopeing to get it for FSX or P3D.

As I understand it. The DC-6 is being released on X-plane first, but will be released on the other platforms i.e fsx/p3d at a later date

Nice looking plane,  loads of buttons and switches.   **manuals at the ready**

""The PMDG Classics DC-6B is the lead off product in a new breed of products for PMDG that will bring some "old school" aviation to our product lines for Xplane, FSX and Prepar3D.  This product will drop for XPlane first- but shortly after will release for FSX and Prepar3D as well- making it the first PMDG product to appear on three different simulation platforms.  (We count FSX and FSX-SE as a single platform...)""

Elaine, the "manual" is circa 1954 only edited to remove references to things not applicable to the PMDG DC-6A such as engine/prop options or items added such as the actual King/Bendix and Garmin boxes installed on this beast to fly today.

As for all those buttons and switches and levers and dials.... this is an immensely complex aircraft to fly, something I've always like to remind jet jockys about the piston twins that I am at home in. The engines, props and systems require attention during all phases of flight. Tremendously satisfying to start feeling comfortable with her but it took a long time, and this for a guy with a couple of decades in the pressurized Cessnas LOL.

Why do you force write full name in the PMDG forum?

You'd know if you'd read the stickeyed rules. Please familiarize yourself with them, and comply with them:
