DC-6 x plane?
As I understand it. The DC-6 is being released on X-plane first, but will be released on the other platforms i.e fsx/p3d at a later date

Flightplans format
Artur .rt and .rt2 is the same format. It just loads into the coresponding page in the FMC. If you go into the route page of the FMC you will see a second page this is so you can enter a second route. I believe it is often used for the divert route and setting up a route change before entering it into the main route. I believe PMDG changed the way the FMC load the .rt files. If your using a company route doesn't actually matter as to how its saved. Im pretty sure the system was changed to load from any of the flightplan folders. If the route isn't found in the native folder it then looks in the others.

General P3D PMDG Question?
Unfortunately yes but if you can afford it, it's definitely worth it.

PMDG AIRAC not installing.
You just need to take the files from the extra created folder and overwrite them to the correct one

[07OCT15] Some Bits and Pieces of What Is Cooking
Thanks for the update Rob. Taxi cam looks good. I may start using it in future. Killed FSX frames and VAS for me so never used it. Loving P3D v3 looking forward too seeing these new capabilities from you guys. Keep up the great work guys and I eagerly anticipate the 747 update. I miss flying the Queen but having been spoiled by the NGX and T7 I can't bring myself to fly V1 anymore, plus having moved too P3D I can't anymore anyway.

Not anymore. When the P3D models were first released the license was reduced but now it's long gone I'm afraid Keith.

Airspeed fluctuation with Airbus x Extended
Taufik make sure you have the throttles set to the cl (climb) detent. The Airbus has its normal variable throttle range then 3 detents cl,flx and toga. For the auto throttle to work the throttle needs to be set after takeoff into the cl detent. You should hear a click sound each time you hit a detent. So if you takeoff using TOGA i.e throttles full forward, after you have taken off. About 2000ft above ground you need to move the throttles back 2 detents/clicks into the cl detent

Which shadows is correct?
Looking at it the difference in buildings it is just the FSX default vs the P3D default (P3D being more detailed as its the startup scenario) . As for shadows I would say P3D is more accurate but it maybe as James said, P3D isn't showing outside shadows only VC ones. I believe its all down to the settings. There are many different settings for shadows in P3D. P3D as far as i'm aware does everything FSX does but better, plus more

Flightplans P3D/FSX and PFPX
Hi guys Im loving the NGX/777 in P3D but I still use FSX. I always use PFPX for flight planning these days and was just wondering if it would be possible to move the PMDG flightplan folder to a generic place like My docs. A certain Airbus has this setup and therefore PFPX exports one flightplan which can be loaded in both sims as a co-route direct from the 'CDU'. Currently I have to change the folder manually before exporting my flightplan from PFPX depending on which sim im using. Not overly an issue I know but was just an idea. Hopefully it wouldn't need much recoding to complete for a future update. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for the 747v2 Elfyn

Small graphical issue on the ND in P3D
Thanks Kyle Thought it probably was, but rather than assume just thought I would point it out.

Small graphical issue on the ND in P3D
Hi guys Just wanted to point out a small bug I've found on the ND display. If you look carefully at the ND display you can see the compass arc extends past the dividing line onto the altimeter and down to the VS display. It only happens on the Captains display. The FOs' is fine. Its not a major issue everything is still readable. I have noticed it in the 700 and the 900 with the United config. Not checked out the others yet. Not sure if this is a common issue or if its just related to my setup/install. So thought I would post a pic to see if anyone else has noticed this issue. Other than this Im loving the 777 and NGX in P3D. Now I am looking forward to the P3D 747. The graphics and shadows in P3D add alot more to the experience than I was expecting. P.S PMDG guys if you require more info on the issue just ask and I will be happy to do my best to help.

[31DEC14] A little something for the New Year...
- TOD doesn't show up in the FMC legs screen
If I remember correctly. The Boeing FMC doesn't show TOD in the legs page. You will see it on the prog page when within a few 100nm. It also shows as a green dot with TD next to it on the nav screen. The reset mcp altitude message shows when you are within a few miles of TOD(can't remember the exact number)- Practicing Landings...
Rich. Yes all you need to do is a save flight. PMDG will auto save the panel state with the FSX save. I would recommend saving about 15-20 miles out as due to the warmup period you will have little to no control and will need a mile or 2 to recover.- Landing gear problems seems to be on my pmdg airplanes
I had this problem with the Aerosoft A320. It seemed my installation got corrupted somehow. Had to uninstall completely then re-install.- URL link expired
Couldn't have put it any better Jim.- This Is Kyle And Other Pmdg Users Chatting
Lol. I think he needs to look in the mirror for a definition of attitude- 737Ngx Problem After Installing 777
I'm not 100% sure but I would suggest you submit a support ticket to the PMDG guys. The guys will then reset your activations. - TOD doesn't show up in the FMC legs screen
