Has anyone seen Robert?

Recommended Posts

Following what Gunnar has said, (which I completely agree), take one of the world's biggest tech companies for example:

Apple Inc.

They never show a product, no matter if it's software or hardware (or both), to the public until they have gotten to a point where it is safe to announce a release date. The new iPhone could be out in September, or it could be delayed and released in December. There is no fixed date to meet.

PMDG follows the same principle and I'm a happy customer.

PMDG is best in the business IMHO. Regardless whether they keep us posted or not I don't care. I do know one thing, once that bird comes out from the hangar ....enough said.

Take your sweet time Robert.

Here's how you handle that:

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I'm seeing this pre-coffee, so...

What you suggested is one of the primary reasons I got hired two years ago. Moreover, did you miss the comment about people giving "lectures about how I should run PMDG"?

A few folks on here just calm down.

I don't understand the jeopardy that fuels these outbursts. If you were an airline waiting for the 747 delivery, I can understand your consternation as you're losing millions potentially, but criticising Robert for making a thorough simulation, doing the job properly and also letting us know that he's actually doing the project rather than just keeping it secret like someone's Apple suggestion, is very, very silly. It's a sim. Keep calm, and enjoy the chat and expertise of Kyle and others on the forum while you wait for your 747 to be delivered.

Criticising his choice of leisure shirt, however - I can't defend him from that. :Tounge:

Remember, customer interest even in the form of expressed impatience is good for business. It indicates credit cards ready to be smoked!! So don't let it get you down PMDG. We just love your products!

Good to see you are well Robert. I know what you mean about the 1% burning you out. I mainly just come on the forums to see if you posted anything and really don't try to get in the weeds on the posts. At least another fantastic study level sim is inbound!

OMG you guys are killing me!!   All this talk about customers demanding information.......lol. Go down to your local car dealer and demand the same thing from them you are demanding from PMDG, and see how fast you get thrown out or escorted by the local authorities. Just because your a paying customer means nothing in the grand scheme of things. You and I both know that as soon as they release the product, you'll break the sound barrier typing in your cc information to buy it. So sit back relax, and do like the rest of us and WAIT for the release. Pretty simple huh?

Any car dealer I bought from treated me like a prince and gladly answered all my questions. In the grand scheme of things the paying customer is all in all with out whom nothing happens. May not have a right to an answer but they do have a right to with hold purchase. Capitalism plus liberty. Isn't it great!!

What?

As a customer you can decide that if PMDG don't meet your expectations you can stop spending your money with them.  You don't have any right to demand answers or make Robert dance like a performing monkey.

Personally, i would like more updates, but after reading the thread with Dovetail games i can entirely understand why he doesn't feel like posting here!

That maybe with a car on the lot ready to go, go in there demanding to know what they are developing for the next series of vehicles and see where that gets you.

Asking a question is not demanding an answer but requesting one. And who is trying to make anyone dance like a performing monkey? If anything interest shown should be an encouragement to the PMDG team. I'm sure it is.

Polite answers. Car dealers love repeat business. Free enterprise is the greatest!
