Car dealers pah! :Waiting: Tell you what you want to hear and lie to you. Not the kind of model PMDG should be employing. RSR & crew are honest, will say when there's something to say and won't when there isn't. Simples.

Just had a bad experience with a car dealer today, which is why I felt I had to write :P

I think I'll be having dinner with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace before we see a LD757.

Gents,   Yup.  I see him every day at the office.    ...and at the sim center.   Occasionally at the hangar...  but clearly not enough of the hangar lately.    Poking fun aside, I am around.

  • I saw a guy in a Hawaiian shirt in a 1970 El Camino in the parking lot at Taco Bell... appeared to be leaching off the free wifi... peered over his shoulder at his laptop and thought I saw what looked

Well, I'm glad all things are well! Looking forward to the day the 747 enters beta.

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.

This has gotten way off topic so with this I will shut up. But friend, you have two heavy hammers to hit back. 1. Power of the purse. 2. Free speech. Spread the word about this disreputable dealer and you hurt them more then they could ever hurt you. In the market place the consumer rules. Car dealers, butchers, bakers or candel stick makers. You have something they all need to stay in business.

Dear Robert I am one of your fans who is a client with your company from the early days. I am enjoying Flightsimulation for about 30 years now..

And i can tell you i have  seen almost every software concerning Fs With many friends on this subject in Europe I can assure you :PMDG is the BEST ! I Your products are outstanding and can not be compared to any software in the world of Flightsimulation ! Beside a couple of guys who are wining and nagging and complaning about your way of doing things , I can assure you that the fast majority of your customers are waiting in silence.

Knowing that one day there will be another outstanding product which will be better than any other plane you have created so far. So Robert

we in Europe appreciate very much all the things you create and we wait in silence till you come with the final announcement.Take care..

Car dealers usually follow a well known release shedule but we are not talking about cars.

why I want to know when it will be released is more basic.  Unlike many of the millionaires here I  have a fixed budget.  I have a list of things I want and two forthcomming PMDG aircraft are close to the top of the list.  Other things also exist on the list...airports, scenery,  It would be nice to know that I could buy something and my weekly top ups will ensure that I can still buy PMDG rather than having to sit on that money..

As you said, we are not talking about cars or planes.  We are talking about software, the development schedule of which is less predictable (although even real world aircraft manufacturers have to push back delivery dates regularly).  Developers who post release dates are essentially just making guesses, or tossing out date based upon their own financial needs.  Thus, the date either gets pushed back over and over again, or they release the product with significant defects, and charge full price with a promise to fix the bugs later on.  In either of these scenarios, the customer is left feeling manipulated, or even outright deceived.  Instead, RSR and his crew are just being honest.  They don't know when the product will be ready, and so that is what they say.  It's very hard to fault them for that.

I have to admit, when its all quiet on the PMDG front I look fwd to when ever someone entices RR into a quick game of whac-A-mole as usually all of us patiently sitting quietly on the sidelines get a nice little update.
