My last free flight was in the Tyrolean Alps of Austria (~47 North) and the snow covered peaks were so blown out, I couldn't make out any details - they were solid white.

I set up my Saitek Pedals, CH throttle, and Logitech 3D Pro with no problems at all. I just go through the control menu, and it's the same process as FSX and P3D.

  • I've had zero problems setting up my CH Yoke and CH Pro Pedals, as well as the various buttons and rockers to my preferences, even though by default they were already working 100%.   It's just that

Posted a couple of Alp shots for you in the sky graphic mod thread.

The mod seems to handle snow a little better than default, although it will still overexpose the sky if you look at the ground and expose correctly if you look at the sky (same way a camera would).

Something else I noticed today.... I did the night lesson and the instructor was talking about lights. He mentioned blue lights but when I started to taxying I couldn't see any blue light along the edges.

In free flight in the uk though they are there.

Did anyone manage to get the Saitek Cessna TrimWheel to work? Is there some magic trick? I select it under controls, go to Axis, then on the right pane I select Elevation Trim, next I make a few turns of the wheel (actully it takes quite a number of turns until being recognized). I have sensitivity to max and zero zone to 0. After returning to the flight, the TrimWheel does excatly - nothing. It works in other sims, though.

Thanks and kind regards, Michael

Thanks for the reply, so I will go on trying...

Another lighting problem. Orbx lighting seen at ground level, appears behind clouds in the distance. Another example of this is at KlAS, where the pyramid light beaming up into the sky appears to be behind the clouds.

Color issue: I note that sometimes ground texture colors appear almost normal until you get just a few feet into the air; then the predominate blue shading appears almost like an overlay, and begins to overpower everything.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.
