Wow.... that looks amazing. I'm on a self-imposed break from evening gaming / simming (I have some work deadlines to meet), but when I fire it all up again, I know where I'll be looking at flying!

Here are a few more shots. I've added in some improved landuse data and colour blended a few more tiles on the North Island.

Rotorua

Farmland around Martinborough (East of Wellington)

And now some from the South Island

Approaching Queenstown ( I noticed the default airport here is off and needs aligning so hopefully someone will fix this on the gateway)

Milford Sound (The gateway airport here has been done very nicely)

Southern Alps

Try landing here :-)

N.B. These are running on my laptop and I have the third to highest texture settings. The textures are much sharper on higher settings, so for people with better computers than me (ie. Almost everyone), the settings can be cranked up.

As it stands at the moment, most of the north Island up to Auckland will have corrected photo textures and some parts of the South Island (The quality is somewhat mixed using the LINZ imagery). However, for people wanting better coverage and textures there, they can generate their own using Ortho4XP and Google (I can't as I wouldn't be allowed to distribute them)

Outstanding Tony, can't wait for the release!

Hey that looks very cool!

I've also done the ortho4xp tiles but cannot seem to get the roads and houses etc. to show on top of them.

Can you tell me how you did that?

Thanks!

Rino (Hamilton)

Awesome Tony- I'm an ex-pat Kiwi (South Island = "mainland" ), thanks for doing this. I still get back every year to see my aging mother. Great country...

ASEL, Instrument.

KBJC, Colorado.

I did my first solo from Paraparaumu (after I had found the guy on the train that said Paraparan meant there) It will be good to fly there again.

No, I mostly abandoned the project because of lack of interest and after feedback from beta testers. Additionally I have real difficulty in finding clean orthos for the south island. I'll likely revisit it at some point, sorry :-(

Sorry to hear that Tony...
