December 10, 20169 yr This one is turning out really nice. Enjoy the preview shots. Dunno what it is about Lufthansa, the livery is so simple, but elegant...I've always liked it. December 10, 20169 yr Author Thanks guys! Checking the night textures now (one of the last things to do before releasing her. ) Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
December 10, 20169 yr Great homage to Joe Sutter there, Steve. December 10, 20169 yr Author Thanks guys! She's basically ready, just need to package and upload her. If anyone with the iFly 747 needs to fly this one (or my Air Pacific) now, send me a PM and I'll give you a link to where she's hangar'd on Dropbox. (I know waiting for the libraries to post paints you know are done can be frustrating) Great homage to Joe Sutter there, Steve. Thanks Mark. Yeah I'm considering adding his pic into every 747 screen I take (maybe a bit more subtly, make it fun for you guys to spot where he is). Its been a sad year for aviation, and esp. the 747, as not only have we lost "The Father of the 747", but his wonderful design is also rapidly vanishing from the real world skies faster than anyone imagined. For example, BOTH of the 747 airframes I've finished so far are either parked or already aluminium ingots. It's not going to be long when the only ones we'll see are hauling freight, the fate seemed destine for all great airliners. December 11, 20169 yr Author She's ready for departure...as the 1st screen implies she's departing for the file libraries. She is a very photogenic lady! My spotter got special access to get a runway shot of her. He caught her just as she's transitioning from a lumbering land creature to a graceful flying metal bird. The spotter whipped around and got this shot as she's retracting the gear... I also contracted a spotter to take aerials. Nice shot of the tail here. You can see the dirt I added to the tail and doors. The chase plane was gradually passing her on the departure so he grabbed this shot on the way by. Looks as if the last mech to grease the cargo door hinges didn't wipe off all the excess. All that's left to get her to you guys is to package her up then upload. You guys should have her on the next library upload cycle if everything goes as planned. (I decided not to add Joe's image to all my screens, I just made that screen my desktop background. Don't want to over do it, we all know who he was and his accomplishments). December 12, 20169 yr Author Thanks guys! I found a few little quips with the paint on final inspection (including the tail logo you saw above. That fix alone involved replacing 6 textures on 4 maps) so I didn't get a change to upload her last night. I'm satisfied with how she looks now, and will upload her tonight after work. Show of hands to how many own the product and plan to download these textures? I'm curious as to how many simmers are flying this plane.
