Never noticed this before...  highway lights reflecting on the underside of my cessna's wing....

So real!  I've seen this at night myself!

Lighting is the one major feature that XP is good at.  Sometimes, I just love sitting on the tarmac and watching the airport vehicles driving by, watching the headlights shining off of everything.  The strobe effects are very realistic and help with the immersion factor too.

Just the other night, I received an email from an online fight sim company, selling a 3rd party night environment package.  I looked at the screenshots and it actually made things worse.  I think XP, out of the box, does very well with lighting at night.

Maybe because it is new in XP11?  But yeah, the lighting system is totally awesome: it was what made me decide to check out XP11... glad I did because a whole new world opened up for me!

Yes, but I've had it installed for a few weeks now... and just noticed it yesterday.

Shame on you.  It was the first thing I looked at! Soooooooooo nice!

Agreed...It was the first thing I noticed when I loaded up the demo prior to purchasing. My jaw dropped :) The lighting is truly incredible. Its amazing what a difference it can make to a graphics engine especially when combined with the associated shadowing. That's another thing I love about xEnviro in how it also affects the lighting of the sky which when combined with the reflections on the aircraft makes for a very authentic experience.

Well, if they are good, that is... Right now the shadows suck big time (with B2 even worse than with B1): way to rough and shimmering. I've read you can cure that by disabling shadows for ground objects etc. but hey... I am in this game for the graphical goodies and I love shadows!  I am sure this will get solved though.

Very nice

Night lights are great. But for some reason on all sliders to the right I don't see starts or moon . Perhaps they will enter it later?

They are only visible with HDR off. So basically, they are there but hidden with HDR for a reason unknown.
