Don't know if I will get it, haven't been using my Skymax Pro 2.0 lately, but the new version looks kinda nice.

Really liked what I saw in the video.

Tempting!

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Cumulus, cumulus, cumulus... Doesn't convince me. Looks just like SMP v3. But I might be biased as I'm a VERY happy xEnviro user...

You're right. But I'll give it a go anyways. I can get it for the attractive upgrade price, and I like the developer, so I'll buy it, and then I can see how it looks and performs.

But xEnviro is the game changer I've waited for, and I've waited a LONG time, so i have my doubts that it can be topped... ;-)

I'll wait and see the initial impressions. Rather liking xEnviro despite its quirks.

To many tissue thin cumulus that look very unconvincing. They have little to no feeling of volume and look like paper cut-outs. The method is little different to REX's work in ESP, but at least they mostly feel like voluminous structures, even if they're not.

xEnviro has achieved something better, but with too many limitations and too high a price. Clear sky flying for me for the time being :(

Maybe REX will join Orbx and have a go at XP11. It would be interesting to see if they could do a better job than they did in XP9.

Honestly, I don't know why so many people think so highly of REX. They haven't delivered anything apart from textures for ages. Their Sky Force something they announced seems to be nothing but vaporware. If anything, then the Active Sky guys would be a welcome addition to XP. Anyways. This is off topic.

We've been asking for clouds to extend to the horizon. We are about to find out if SMP v4 can deliver.

xEnviro does that very convincingly, in my opinion.

From what I've seen so far, SMP4 does that as well, but only with the typical fluffy cumulus clouds. I'll test it tomorrow.

TBH I'm very skeptical, yet hopeful.

XEnviro looks very impressive. It's the only weather add-on for XP that depicts the weather like AS16/ASCA and that's what I want in XP.

Yeah, xEnviro delivers the best and most real weather depiction we've ever had in XP, without any doubt. But with the nice upgrade offer, I'll give SMPv4 a try as well. I really like its developer, and that's my way of supporting his efforts and hard work.

And as an owner of FSGRW and RWC, I just am curios to see how things evolved...

I'll wait a bit. From previous experiences the marketing > actual product.

Did you get FSGRW working with XP 11?

But they are superb textures on the whole.

Anyway it will be interesting to see what actual users get out of SMP4. They may show it in a better light.

Disregard my question. Stefan confirmed that FSGRW works with XP 11.
