>Ricardo, have you considered what you are saying? A real>world MD80 pilot spends a year programming 5 different panels>as accurately as he can and you say "it seems kind of>pointless"?>>There are many who will disagree with you on this point my>friend:-)>I guess he meant "pointless" from the customer's perspective in the context. A full package with this set of panels would be a wonderful product.

Ricardo,The point is, you have a choice. If we all had that view, we would all be driving the same car. When you decide to buy a car, you look at the features and price and decide what is best for you. You can even have more thatn one car if yo u like. :)When I started this project, MDMax was the only option available. When Lago announced their project, they actually were interested in buying me out, I guess to get rid af any competition. Then several months ago, Flight 1 announced their Super 80. Am I supposed to just throw the project away? Soyy, to much bloos, sweat and tears were involved in this thing. It was a race against time to see if this project or the Super 80 made it out first. Congrats to Flight 1 for winning the race, but mine is now ready so here it is. You simply evaluate the product and see if it is right for you. If not, that ok.Lonny

Lou,How is it going my friend? Thanks for the encouraging words. A lot of work went into this package and I hope people enjoy it. Yes, gas is about $1.00 cheaper around here which means a little more gas for the Arrow! :)I try not and take things personal in this business. Everybody is entitled to their opinion and I have had previous discussions with Dillon and I know he is a good guy.Merry Christmas to you!Lonny

Dillon,No harm done. You have to remember that this is acollaborative agreement with PAS and Eaglesoft and we here at Eaglesoft have not changed anything about what we do. We still will offer complete business jet packages and in fact, I am working on a couple that I think will knock peoples socks off. :)Flight Deck: MD-80 is kinda an experiment. I wanted to try and combine a quality payware product with high quality freeware to come up with a complete package. The advantage is that the customer pays less and I am supporting some great freeware. Some may disagree with this approach, but I wanted to give it a try and if successful, who knows, we may do another sometime. I even had another well known developer offer to "loan" me his model guy to come up with a model, but the customer would have to pay for that. I decided to keep things as is and see what happens. The biggest disadvantage to this approacj is that there is no VC. I figured that there are some out there that will not choose this product because of that and I understand.Merry Christmas,Lonny

Hello,The FMC in Flight Deck: MD-80 will do most of things that a real one will, but you will not be able to enter or edit the flight plan. You will have to create your flight using the GPS or other means. We simply could not develope a fully funcional FMC and stay within the price target we had. I felt that the time would be better spent developing the different version of the panels. I know that the hardcore FMC guys will not like this, but I am hoping that the variety of panels and great price will more thatn make up for it.Thanks for the question,Lonny

Lonny:I appreciate the work you put into this panel, but you are missing something crucial: I already have a choice; in fact, I have two of the MD80's currently being sold sitting on my harddrive. I think you missed an opportunity to substantially cut into Lago's sales, by releasing, under the banner of Eaglesoft's trusted name, a glass cockpit with a fully functioning FMC.What with Lago's crappy, non-existant support, there seems to be a golden opportunity here. ricardo

>I think it's time that addon developers started talking to>each other. I mean, we now have 4 different versions of the MD>80 around:Hi Ricardo,And how about this comment instead..?..."I think it's time that addon developers started talking to each other. I mean, we now have a trillion different versions of the B737 around" ;-)I think that is a more proper description of the situation around here. :-hahhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/greeting2.gifhttp://www.scandicair.com/images/sa_banner.gif"Real men fly with round gauges"[/color]

Lonny missed nothing crucial. He added another CHOICE to the market place. Consumers like choices and so do developers.:-)Seems you now have another choice to make if you wish to do so. Seems curious why someone would gripe because he has another option if he wants to exercise it:-)

>we now have a trillion different versions of the B737>around"[/i] ;-)Totally erroneous and misleading. We dont even have a couple of professionl B737 packages out. What we have is:- PMDG's B737 NG line - only one- FeelThere B737 Classic - so far B733 only - another oneDo you omit the difference between NG and Classic on purpose for the sake of the argument?I really hope more PROFESSIONAL groups/designers/professionals will tackle at B737 line-up.

Hey Lonny,When I made the statement I thought is was a team project and was only being sarcastic in a fun sort of way (which didn't come across to well). I didn't know who was mainly responsible for the panel much less it being a pet project designed totally by you. So therefore I wasn
