I know everyone's talking about the 747 but...

By God...does the 777 climb when you're light on cargo and pax.

I love it.

Blasting across southern Europe - destination EGKK and have just reached cruise alt - FL400 in 7 minutes flat. I love this aircraft.

Big difference between twin and quads when excess thrust for engine out scenarios are considered.  You think the T7 is hot, go fly a B736 BBJ with 18 people on board.  Exciting.

Yup, did you know that when they were testing the General Electric G90, the company put one GE90 under the wing of a Boeing 747 and used that engine alone to keep the B747 in level flight? Now that is a powerful engine!

Excellent Wes.

777 still does it for me.

I did the same a few weeks back on a flight from LDDU-EGKK. Upto cruise level in the 400's in no time :)

The 747 could be the Queen of the Skies but the 777 still is my KING!

Well said. Mine too!

Now, that creates a whole new meaning for wings level landing

Yes, not a great deal of leeway there...
