February 16, 20179 yr Thanks for the headup. No buildings/trees at all, that's a nogo for me as a VFR pilot. It might be interesting if they would add something like the Google 3D overlay, though. February 16, 20179 yr Interesting concept, I gave it a test run with the trial version around NL. I had some issues however with the speed of the aircraft (280 indicated) - my internet connection is 76mbps. What would make this project interesting, if you could enter your routing and it then pre-downloads Xhundred of miles of orthophotos for your route every X mins/hour etc. Although, I did run into these issues and I have a 76mbps internet connection...

February 16, 20179 yr I tried it for Southern France. Even with resolution set at ZL 18 I didn't find the orthos to be high resolution. Night lighting of roads looks very strange. Interesting approach though, it looks very much like tile proxy (file and folder structure) and the authors mention the tile proxy creator in their manual. Hans
February 16, 20179 yr Hmmmm. Looks just like TP. I'd also question whether they actually have the rights to effectively supply photo scenery for the entire world. My first guess would be no considering the rather amateur website.

February 17, 20179 yr I'm using this with the Piper Cub flying low and slow over my local area. I see my own house, car, every single footpath shed greenhouse and tree, I'm loving it! Phil
February 17, 20179 yr Author This is best for low and slow flying. With a jet my Systems is showing blurries after 10 minutes , but I also use custom AG on top of it.. February 17, 20179 yr Haven't downloaded yet, but this is a dream come true. It should have the option to pre-download the scenery as per flight plan. Possible message "Your scenery is buffered to 30% according to your flight plan. You may start your flight". Buffer settings adjustable in the options menu.
