You are going to have to spend some time tweaking the settings on it to adjust it to the way you want it to respond. If you check their help forum, I believe they had some setup files that are specific to FS2004 that you can use as a starting point, and then tweak them. It takes awhile, but eventually you will get it where you want it.....

Thanks for your response Bob, I will check their fourms.Carlos

On my Track IR 3, I actually use the defaults. Be sure to play with it a bit in default mode and get used to it a little before you start tweaking. Otherwise, you might be chasing a moving target. :)Enjoy your new Track IR. Mine is one of the best Flight Siming purchases I have ever made. I won't fly without it.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

As Tony I also have TrackIR 3 and use the default MSFS2004 profile. Works like a charm!

is TRackIR really worth it if you fly 100% jets?i mean its only handy while taxxing before takeoff and after landing, thats like 5-10% of the total flight.

Wether it's beneficial to use TrackIR in an airliner is totally dependent on the quality of the VC. In the PMDG 747, the Level-D and the Flight 1 ATR, using TrackIR adds so much to the feeling of actually being in the airplane. This is especially true for the 747 where the 2D cockpit IMHO is not very involving while the VC is simply the best out there.

especially jets w vc; they have the knobs switches and dials scattered around the deck waiting to be moused

i only fly the PMDG 737 in VCbut im not convinced as its only beneficial in taxxxing on the ground.

Just got one this morning, and after about one hour I can't imagine not having one. One unexpected 'side effect' is the way the sound of the engine moves across my four speakers when I look down at my GoFlight console. So immersive!

I don't know which goflight modules you have but the GF-MCP supports the TrackIR in a great way. In some planes I find it quite cumbersome to handle the AP in VC mode since it's easy to lose focus over the mouse sensitive areas. With Goflight (or any other vendors hardware MCP) it's no issue anymore since you do all the dialling and button-pushing with your fingers! ... as long as the MCP supports the airplanes AP...

CarlosYour concerns will disappear the minute you plug this little piece of kit in. I will just say it's great cos I don't want to gush on too much. One piece of valuable advice given to me was instead of trying to create a profile of you own too soon, get used to the system first - using the FS2004 default profile. After a while go here:http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/04-com...y-profiles.htmland add the profile 'CharveL' for IL-2/FS2004. It may not suit you but if it does it will save a load of time. You can always amend it later.Al

TrackIR4 is the most immersive add-on I have ever used.Nothing else will give you that 'BEING THERE' feeling more than TrackIR4.It has transformed my flying and turned it into actuality. The real difference is being able to look past the flight yoke to operate any switches etc., that it covers in the normal 'VC' view. Being able to tilt my head to one side in order to check ALL of the overhead panel and lean forward to see past and behind the windows posts makes it great. To illustrate best the many advantages of Trackir4 is that yesterday I approached Seattle Tacomo from a silly angle with the PMDG747-400 and put it down gently on the numbers just like a 'pro'.There is vitually no frame rate hit at all! and if your your fed-up with flying with 'TUNNEL VISION' GET IT!Another wonderful attribute is that while using it it leaves your hands free to operate controls on your aircraft in the same way as you would be if flying in reality, and reality is what we all want isn't it?I feel I cannot praise this product enough and will continue to praise it to all my freinds and fellow simmers.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/

Go to agree on how good this product is. There are only three times I can remember getting a "WoW" factor when using flightsim:1. The first time I used FS2002 and used a hat-switch to move around the plane (ok, so I had never played a video game before).2. The first tme I loaded up Mega-Scenery Southern California3. The first time I ran TrackIR 4 in a VC mode.I am using their stock flying profile right out of the box. Added a little smoothing but other than than no setup time at all. Only issue (for some of us), is getting used to the sensation when using it. Was getting a little light-headed at first when done with a flight but that is now slowly going away with each flight. Also, keeping my head still when trying to flip switcheds takes a little practice. I never really used VC's at all when flying in the past but now that is the first mode I go for now with each new flight. True, better VC models will provide better visuals but I find even the default aircraft VC's provide a great immersion factor. Another highly satisfied customer.

Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

>Also, keeping my head still when trying to flip switcheds>takes a little practice. >Don't tell anyone, but if I have much switch flipping to do, such as programming the FMC, I sometime go back to the 2d view. As soon as I am done, however, it's back to the VC.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg
