Hi,

I have always the problem described above in my previous post. I deinstalled Mce, reinstalled the 2.7.0.6 version and patched it with the 2.7.1.5 version. The problem persist for me. Please any idea what happens ?

Thank you and Regards,

Do you happen to have Voice IDs activated in PF3? It has to be off.

  • There will be an update tomorrow. Will be able to ask FO to request a different runway and altitude. Resuming a saved flight should also be possible.

  • Fully functional now. And ignore all the patches. Just grab the latest from the downloads page The next step is to give the option to switch captions OFF and still keep it functional.

  • OK, just to update everyone on this. We are currently revamping the PF3 interfacing. Here is a proposal for what we think is a better implementation. Once update is released, unless you

Voice IDs is Off, I was aware of that, it's you which found the trick.

Huge thank you to you guys at FS++! I did my first flight with the Dash with the latest update and not only have you fixed the ARCDU (incorrect inputs) issue but the FO was able to deal with all aspects of comms with out a hitch. I only had to intervene with a runway change, other than that it was perfect! I look forward to testing other functions on my next flight!

I just hope others have had the same positive experience with the latest update.

I'm a new user to MCE. How do I activate the PF3 interface? I just downloaded patch 5 and can't find it in the ATC tab. I have PF3 connected to the sim, but MCE still thinks I'm using native ATC.

I reinstalled just the 2.7.10 version just because this version worked like expected but now it no longer works !

When I ask "confirm ATC Option" he does correctly read out the last caption.

But he does not readback anything. There is nothing happening after Delivery issued the clearance or Taxi or anything... The squawk isn't set either.

Seems I have the same symptoms when "Display Voice Set ID" was checked except that it is no longer checked

From memory it seems to me that this problem dates from my update of PF3 Version 3.5.0. Could it be possible that the "glitch" comes from there?

My call sign is Lancair N122LL

I do not know what to do at this time...Help

Thanks and Regards,

Click on the little arrow 2 or 3 times "+", you will have the option PF3. Normally after you have selected it MCE must be restarted.

Regards,

Right now, MCE FO needs the "Closed Captions" to be ON all the time.

To recap.. In PF3 settings...

Closed Captions ON

voice_ID OFF

Pilot voice OFF

In PF3_MCE.INI, for now, set Active=0 (The new Caption less interface isn't implemented on the MCE side)

As DrumsArt suggested, normally, it's just a matter of switching ATC system at the bottom of the ATC tab in the UI.

You will only see the option to switch ATC when MCE is able to locate either RC4 or PF3 registration in Windows registry.

If you're using a RC4 installation folder kept from a previous installation, you need to tell MCE where it is.

In MCE "General" tab, click <More Options>

In "Advanced Options" panel, click <View Config>

"mce.ini" will open in Notepad.

Scroll-down to the [ATC] section.

If you want to use PFE or PF3, change items as follows

Mode=PFE

IgnorePFERegistry=1

Save the file and restart MCE.

You will then be prompted to provide the path to "rcv4.exe"

Do that, and MCE will be able to read RC4 settings and update the UI to reflect that.

In FsInsider.dll Properties, I have that :

"This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help"

Would there be a correlation with my problem and this Windows "thingy" ?

Regards,

I don't know.

Un-block it anyway.

MCE gets those captions from the sim. It's important you have free communication between "mce.exe" and the simulator (via fsInsider.dll)

Tell your anti-virus to trust "mce.exe", "fsInsider.dll" and "fsx.exe"

It's done from the day one in Microsoft Security Essential.

If I ask for "Confirm ATC option" with the recorded voices I have just the silence, nothing...It works with a TTS Voice but the TTS voices don't readback anything.

Nothing wrong with your mce.ini

According to the fil MCE isn't installed to default C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\ folder.

Just a reminder, when Windows UAC is enabled, and we recommend you leave it at default setting (2 notches up on the slider), you MUST..

1 - Install MCE to default C: drive C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder

2 - Set "fsx.exe" or/and "Prepar3D.exe" to run as admin.

When the sim is started via a launcher app like "SimStarter, FPS_Limiter or other, the latter must also be set to run as admin.

"Nothing wrong with your mce.ini" and it seems nothing wrong with my PF3.ini...So....I'm baffled !

I think I only have to try a system restore previous to the update of PF3 and previous to a recent update of Windows.

-UAC not enabled 30" after Windows7 install 3 years ago.

-All my programs are set to run as admin.

-I have not any launcher, Fps limiter or other.

-All my programs + folders related to simulation are trusted in Microsoft Security Essential.
