Lost the ability to EDIT posts ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

As of today - seems we can no longer EDIT posts - you click edit and the screen comes up - but not your original or anywhere to edit it...

Thanks...

Regards,
Scott

It wasn't Elaine!  I have investigated and agree there is a problem but, if I try to edit MY posts as an Admin, no problems.  So I have reported the problem to our tech.  Believe he just completed a security and site update and that might have caused it.  At least the settings I have control over are set properly.

Thanks for reporting the issue (also got an earlier report from jconn and charliearon via PM). Apologize for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Jim

Editing posts, within the 2 hour limit, seems to be broken at the moment. When I select edit, the post doesn't appear in an edit window. All I get is the link to upload media. I've tried on both desktop and mobile versions.

Yes, there's a discussion about this in the topic currently at the top of this forum.  The problem is still there and now I cannot even make a prefix and those are needed in the FSX Forum, Classified Ads, and Bargain Hunter Forums.  We are working on it and hope to have it fixed soon.

Best regards,

Jim

Thanks Jim. Sorry I missed that other thread. Maybe you should move my post there or delete it so it doesn't clutter up this help thread.

Not a problem but think that's a good idea to merge it with the others.  I just tried editing posts and it is now working for me.

Best regards,

Jim

Now not working.  I can edit the OP but not the posts below the OP including my own posts.

If Tom was still with us I would say he's been 'updating' again!

Eh, think they might leave it as it is because it's funny to watch people try and fail to edit their posts.

Not to mention the people who fast finger their posts and have words that are completely missing.
