January 27, 200620 yr I want to get it but, since my computer is not as powerful it might hurt my frames rates.Alexhttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
January 27, 200620 yr >I want to get it but, since my computer is not as powerful it>might hurt my frames rates. This is a common misconception.ASV by itself won't hurt your frame rates. Only when you fly with heavy weather it may hurt you. If you tell me you fly with lightly cluded skies that you set manually or with clear skies (no weather) then having ASV would be a waste, but if you already fly with some kind of real-weather setup then ASV would be a big asset.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg Michael J.

January 28, 200620 yr I suppose you feel he should start deleting all his payware right now then?Don't see how your comment is necessary.
January 28, 200620 yr Edam:In most cases I would agree. There is no question that Jim is part of the AS6 team and one of its greatest supporters! :-) BUT, I don't know of anyone who has purchased AS6 (ASVI?) or earlier versions who would not say that it is one of THE most significant add-ons to make FS9 "as real as it gets". There are hundreds of posts other than Jim's that will support this. Plus, I don't know of any add-on vendor who is more dedicated or provides better support.Sorry, IMHO you are flat wrong concerning Jim's post.In the case of the effect of ASG on frame rates, on the other hand, I would have to agree that the jury is still out. I am still experimenting with that one. Regards,Wilson
