June 8, 20178 yr Thanks guys I was wondering about this. So according the REX folks, a patch is coming (as well some new products) Can use the most recently updated interface to install the textures and mostly it should work. Finally, absolutely ensure that a backup is made because there are reported issues and should be reversed before using a patched version of their texture installs. OK I after updating to the most recent version. I pointed to P3D V4 and tried restore. I heard it do something, then went to the location where the backups are stored under REX4 Plus Soft Clouds...and I find a FSX backup, a P3D V3 backup but no P3D V4...where is the backup stored so I can be actually sure it made a backup, does anyone know? June 9, 20178 yr For me REX from V3 works correctly in V4. Intel i7-7700k @ 4.8 GHz / Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming GoodRAM Iridium Red 2x8GB 2400MHz DDR4 Gigabyte GTX-1060 6GB
June 9, 20178 yr I'm on same side, but I do not apply water and waves yet as I want to keem them default. All absolutely fine for me. Hope that new version will do not overwrite original files and will use add-on.xml . i7-8700k, RTX2070 Super, custom water cooling, 32GB RAM, 6TB SSD spacePrepar3D v4, X-Plane 11, 40" 4k TVRex, Active Sky, RealAir and A2A pilot, GTN, ORBX mostly everywhere
June 9, 20178 yr There are much better alternatives out there just saying.. marketing ware direct however should work as is.

Quoting myself here. But when I apply to make a backup it does not store it in the default location. So I manually made my own backup. Except I saved the entire default folders just in case.
