It says my traffic 6 is for p3d v2. Will it still work for v4? And do I need to download extra files or delete?

What do you mean same controller all the time, Bob?

And I don't even fly in the US and have no problems.

I mispoke, I thought you were talking about Pilotedge.  I tried Pilot 2 ATC about 6 months ago, and after spending money purchasing  about 3 controller voices, which wasn't cheap, I found that when it ran , it was using a great deal of CPU cycles, so I dropped it.

There is a very simple (unsupported by Flight 1) workaround in the UT Live support forums. I personally wait for a week or so, for developers to comment or delete posts with workarounds such as this. Flight 1 has essentially said, if you have problems, don't bother asking for help.

I see. I think they improved that in one of the latest patches. Would try again if i were you.

One of the things i don't like in Pilot2ATC is it says many times "Contact ATC center" instead of the center name but they said they were going to fix that too. I hope.

Fair enough. I didn't use PF3, i just watched some videos and didn't like the voices at all.

Compare this voice (PF3)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ynWalj5A3s

with this one (Pilot2ATC)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDklcNKtdX8

I don't think any of the voices in this video of PF3 can be remotely described as robotic. And PF3 has received 2 updates since this video was done.

I really like PF3, and when flying IFR , I use it. I like having over 100 different voices instead of just a few,

They are for me, but i'm not going to discuss this. I just posted in this thread because another user forgot to mention Pilot2ATC as a good ATC addon for P3D (and X-Plane also).

Each software has it's positives and negatives. Good thing we have choice.

I think it is safe to say that the community is divided on the ATC addons

We do have a choice especially as PF3 has released yet another update. You should check out all the options.

There will always be the diehards that swear by the version they use. However out of date or inaccurate they may be.

which means all of them are either outdated or they simply suck, this is one of the areas of the FSX/P3D that is seriously lacking a powerful and realistic solution.

Well PF3 having been updated to 3.5.0 just days ago is the most up to date. And it doesn't contain the MS game cheat of vectoring around mountains. Something that is impossible in real life.

I am working on something new that will use ADS-B data and inject AI traffic in to the sim. This would be pretty much close to real time. To put it another way - if you were sitting at then end of the runway and saw a delta 757 takeoff and happen to have you sim open at that exact same time, you would (in theory :) see that exact same aircraft on the exact same route with the same altitude, heading and speed that was being reported through ADS-B.   Similar to what you see on flight aware and Flightradar24 respectively.

I will have more details in the coming weeks as I move through discussion on purchasing an existing AI tool that is in desperate need of an update!

That looks very interesting. The only issue I can foresee is that at many airports the A/C switch off their transponders on the ground so the full taxi to the gate and park may be missing. It would kill emersion a bit if planes just disappeared after exiting the runway. Is there any way around this?
