Hi guys,

Today my day ended not so good. I came back home and am eagerly tweaking and gathering all airports I want into this sim. Todat I made the decision to buy a large amount of Scenery Aiports of FSDT for P3D V4.

When I decided to checkout with Paypal, I had give up VAT ID number. Well, I left it blank of course as I am not buying it as a company but as a customer. Then a dreaded notification came up after verifying the necessary information of Paypal; "Transaction has not been authorized!" (in Red). I thought "What the heck is this?"

I went to my Paypal account and saw that the transaction is still pending. Due to some "high risk" ( I do not know what) the transaction could not continue. The transaction is around 350 euro's incl. VAT. So this was my largest purchase for a flightsim for a VERY long time. AND IT WENT WRONG! Just now, as everything is falling nicely into pieces.

I guess I have to wait for a reply from Paypal. I already received a notification from Paypal that this transaction is under "processing". I do not know what that means, I only hope I will get my download links from FSDT shortly BEFORE they take the money from my account!

I am sharing this with you guys, because I want to point out that I paid numerous times with PayPal and now, JUST FREAKING NOW, it went horribly wrong!

I am still waiting for my creditcard. I will know next time what to do! 

You CAN download the installers from the FSDreamteam website and install the scenery first from the products page (and actually, you'd have to do that anyhow). Only thing is that the scenery will be in trial mode until your payment gets processed and you get the serial numbers for the sceneries. It's always better to test them out first anyhow to make sure they actually work. The trial version lasts I think five minutes, but you can run the trial version as many times as you'd like. You'd have to exit the simulator and restart it in order to restart the trial.

I know Kevin. I have all of them and I like them all. That is why I wanted to buy this, unfortunately I am very concerned about the processing of this. I should've enjoyed it all already. Next time, creditcard payment!

I guess I'm wondering why you're waiting for download links then if you know this. All you'd be waiting for are the serial numbers. If the sceneries are already installed, all you'd have to do once you get the serial numbers is punch them in.

Yes, but you can understand why I am worried?? I am worried this transaction is botched. That Paypal will continue the transaction and that I won't receive any Keys.

Right, I get that part. It was the way you worded it initially that threw me off, which was why I posted my initial response, since you initially said you were waiting for download links.

I had the exact same thing happen when I tried to buy the FSDT KCLT and KIAH. Tried to get an answer from PayPal as to why and never got a satisfactory answer. They canceled the transaction and refunded the payment back to my PayPal account and I ended up buying the scenery with my debit card. I now avoid using PayPal as much as I can.

this has happened to a number of people including myself last week. Paypal ended up cancelling my order after 24 hours and refund my purchase.

From what I've been able to track down on the internet (I know), something in the product description flags it as being some kind of threat. The initial message from PayPal indicated that the transaction was pending due to government regulations. I know, insane.

Alright then,

This morning I received a notification from Paypal that; "there was a too large risk at stake for this transaction, this is why the transaction has been aborted". Nice, I do not know when I will receive my debit card. I only have my paypal account. 

Is it obvious this problem reoccurs when I try to replace the order, via PayPal?

If so, this is nicely done (NOT SO MUCH).

Perhaps Simmarket then...

wasn't this similar to what happened to Orbx but in reverse,from what i understood PayPal held onto customers Money and wouldn't pass it on to their new PayPal customer "Orbx" because of the amount of Money Orbx the new customer was generating didn't somehow seem to be OK to PayPal,I bet that made JV very happy!,the last time I looked (10 mins ago)PayPal is no longer available to purchase goods on Orbx,of coarse I could have it all wrong

I think you have it right Peter. I, too, have given up on PayPal...there is just too much "strange stuff" happening there. There is no way I'd trust them again after what I went through earlier this year (don't ask, it's along story),,,,,Doug

Hi Guys, The same thing happened to me last week, tried to order KCLT and KIAH with paypal, it said "Transaction Pending", so I phoned paypal customer service, and get this, they said because KIAH comes up with the description "George Bush Intercontinental Airport" on the invoice, it throws up a security flag, but I explained it was only software for flightsims, he said he would do something to get the transaction through within a couple of hours. This never happened, and the transaction was cancelled and the funds credited back to my pp account, so I ordered them on a visa cc with no problems. I think Paypal may have their security flags a bit too high.

Happened to me too. They returned the money back after 24h.
