Operations Center Update Failure

Featured Replies

Here is the answer:

Hi Sebastian

Can you please make sure that you disable any Anti virus or other protective software and then try the following.

It sounds as if your PMDG Operations Center application may not be up to date.

To manually update PMDG Operations Center, do the following:

1. Navigate to your C:\Program Files (x86)\PMDG Operations Center folder. Delete everything in that folder with the EXCEPTION of the OpsCenterUpdater.exe file.

2.  Disable any Anti virus or other protective software that you are running.

3. Run the OpsCenterUpdater.exe file manually, ensuring that you Right Click and select "Run as Administrator."

This should update your PMDG Operations Center install to the latest version.

Unfortunately, this does not help me! I have sent a new ticket to PMDG.

Greetings Kenneth Kitzmann

This is an EU server problem! After various attempts, get other error messages.

Other message:

1. Product Module 737NGX.dll has failed to download after 3 attempts.

2. Product Module 737NGX XSE.dll has failed to download after 3 attempts.

Yes here also. Got the same needless Message from Paul.

Answered to the Mail but didn't get any Answer until now.

I also have the same problem. I tried the deleting of the files and manual run of the updater, but to no avail. Still gives the message failed after 3 attempts.

Paul likely didn't know you saw the message here, unless you specifically told him, which I doubt you did. We work product support - not mind reading.

Here a solution of PMDG! Unfortunately with me without success!

We've had other users having this issue in the past two days trace it back to antivirus or firewall interference with the download. We've checked the server and files exhaustively, there isn't a problem on our end of the connection. 18,000+ successful OC updates have happened in the past two days across the world.

=========

Have you tried setting a Windows Firewall rule to allow the OC and updater through? Several other users said doing this fixed the issue for them.

Here's a video explaining how to do this:

Greetings Kenneth Kitzmann

Thanks for sharing that Kenneth,

Will try it tonight and report my results.

I've tried all the suggested solutions. However, it doesn't work out.

Everyone - this issue appears to be confined to the German Amazon CloudFront edge servers somehow from what we're seeing. We just re-pushed the update files out to all of the edge servers worldwide - please try again now and let us know if it still fails. If it does, we're going to have to get in touch with Amazon's support - the issue is not happening elsewhere in the world from what we've seen.

For fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

I still have the same problem. Even with the manual setup for a firewall rule.
Do you suggest any ports to allow?

It still does not work! Even if the firewall is off, the same result! ...Download stops.
