July 17, 20178 yr I see that Active Sky for P3D version 4 has released. No longer in beta. Also, there's an update for ASCA, if you're using that product. July 17, 20178 yr Ah yes, another company who is forcing us to shell out another $57 to be able to use their product in P3D V4
July 17, 20178 yr I you own a previous version of AS16 for P3Dv3, your upgrade to ASP4 is free. Many vendors are releasing their P3Dv4 versions free for users of that same product in P3Dv3. That's a great deal. It's a great tactic, unfortunately most of you don't see what companies are doing. Just more clever ways of extorting more and more $$$
July 18, 20178 yr In all these years flying virtually I've never felt ripped off by Damien and his Company. There were always reasonable update fees, which they deserve for quality products they make and outstanding support. The hostility is totally uncalled for. Jacek G. Give them a break. This is the absolute best weather generator that money can buy and it's affordable. MSFS

Even less during an advertised sale period. Not even close to $57.

No doubt it took a good bit of unique coding to make AS16 x64 compatible. Even if AS16 wasn't the best weather engine out there for Prepar3D (and it definitely is!), Damian and his team would still deserve to get paid for their efforts. You spend that much when you take someone out for dinner and a movie. And no one is forcing you. There are other weather engines available. At times like this I wish we could vote people off the site. Extortion is a pretty strong charge to make in public. Hope you lawyer works for nothing. Hello are there any Mods here? Besides, the responses to his unfounded claim from you guys are spot on. He voiced his opinion and community responded. Just to educate him a tad - although ASN is a weather engine and ASP4 is a weather engine, they are coded in a completely different way. To make ASN compatible with V4 would mean writing a completely new program and calling it ASN. I'm SURE you would just love paying the price for that. Oh wait, they did that - they wrote a completely new program and called it ASP4. And provided fair upgrade paths for prior users. I wasn't overly disrespectful to them at all, just expressing my distaste for companies that try and squeeze every dollar out of us. It's obvious I have been outdone by the HiFi Fanclub here, so I'll leave, thanks. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
July 18, 20178 yr Actually, I did notice you are a bit screwed as far as any upgrade options are available if you got for example ASN on Steam, there's really no options for upgrading to more recent versions from that purchase choice. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
