September 19, 20178 yr Just a heads up if you happen to come across unexplained fsx.exe crashes as of recent, it might be due to this Win10 update. It is definitely causes issue with the Concorde X, so it is conceivable that our sim could be affected with other aircraft or addons also. This is a straightup, immediate crash once the plane almost or just finishes loading. There is a thread about it here: https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/13725-notice-on-win10-kb4038788/ That thread also mentions P3D issues also: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126667
September 19, 20178 yr Moderator Yes, This is being discussed in the P3D forum here and also in the PMDG forum. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
September 20, 20178 yr It would be useful if posters checked the Windows error log and put more crash information in their posts. DJ

Reading around, I would say that it's more accurate to say that the majority were not affected. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

This is not an isolated issue. It is affecting P3Dv3 users quite a bit. There are less than 30 individuals on that forum with problems. Whilst I sympathise with those who are affected, it seems clear that the majority are not having problems. If it was widespread, I'm sure that the P3D forum here would be full of complaints. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

Keep scrolling down and you'll find other posts directed to that thread from others. It also doesn't include those who may not have updated nor started P3D since the update was pushed, which OS ones running etc... And that is only LM site. It's clear there is an issue with the recent MS update given once removed the issue disappears.
