Few days ago, the captain of an AI aircraft that was waiting for a takeoff clearance was making jokes on account of my landing.Just like you now, I tought it was only my imagination. But!!! Nine times out of 10, when I'm cleared to land, some dummy is taking his time getting off the runway and I have to go around. I usually go ahead and land anyway and get balled out for it. ATC's go-around procedures are so lengthy and usually takes 15 minutes to get situated back on final and there's another dummy on the runway, and again I'm called to go around ... it's a vicious circle...:) Any fixes for this one?

You might want to try AI Smooth. It's a great program thatgreatly mitigates AI conflicts by putting any aircraft thatclose within a certain distance or angle with each other(or with yours) into a holding pattern. I've been extremely frustrated with problems of the samekind you mention. It's especially a pain when you're tryingto fly a relatively conplex aircraft--you're worrying aboutchecklists, trying to acknowledge ATC instructions. Theworst problem is when you have to slow up drastically onfinal approach because the AI in front of you is taking itssweet time clearing the runway!!I haven't had any such problem since using AI Smooth; itmakes a big difference!!

Coincidentally, it was at KSEA that I had that issue (at least the last time, don't remember if all were at KSEA or not...)Now I'm thinking "bad afcad" causing issues.......

Another incompetent airtrafficcontroller told me to "contact ground" after I was crashed just a few hundred meter before the runway...Herman

AI Smooth just crashes when I've tried it. And it hasn't been a big problem for me, except for Ketchikan where I've been adding a bunch of GA AI including a few planes (one a lear 40) doing touch and gos. Of course, I do GA VFR flying, with lots of short finals and don't much care if I land on a runway before the other guy exits. :)"Let me help you out. The Fix is Radio Control v4. It will hold all AI aircraft while you land. And will divert to holding aircraft that would interfere with your landing.

Thanks all for your responses,I haven't d/l and installed FS9 Configurator yet. I want to try it but was wondering if anyone knows if you can increase taxi speed by directly editing the config files and which values you change. It seems to me that increasing taxi speed would be a more realistic solution.Thanks
