November 21, 20178 yr I recall back in v3 there was a scenery config tool that would allow you to only load scenery that you want in your flight. Meaning, if I was flying from KSFO-KLAX, I would only pick those 2 airports to load in the tool prior to my flight, and P3d would not load any of the other addon airports I have across the US. Is this available / compatible with v4.1? Also, if it is, would that help at all with frame rates or does that have nothing to do with it. I wasn't sure if it was just for load times or if it could help reduce studders and add frame rate. November 21, 20178 yr Hi... If it was the Open Source one I was using - I believe it won't be handle the new XML methods P3D can use to install scenery... It's Open Source so that's not to say someone couldn't fix it... As for performance - I've seen it debated at length whether it helps or not... Personally - I liked having the ability to manage my scenery with it... Regards, Scott
November 21, 20178 yr https://sourceforge.net/projects/fs-sceditor/ And yes, is compatible with P3d V4, but you have some scenerys now in V4 that are loaded via xml to the scenery cgf... November 21, 20178 yr If you are looking for a freeware tool i'd suggest P3Dv4 Addon Organizer from @Lorby_SI https://lorby-si.weebly.com/downloads.html Its made specifically to handle the new addon.xml method and therefore 100% P3Dv4 complaint. If you are willing to pay a small price for kind of a swiss army knife for P3D addon handling then i'd wholeheartedly recommend Simstarter NG, couldnt live without it anymore. Just google for it as links to payware are restricted at AVSIM

Thanks My experience with the SCE tool mentioned is that it saves on VAS as the amount of scenery loaded is less and therefore helps manage the OOM situation better but as for frame rate and reducing stutters, I am not sure this tool was designed to do this. I haven't noticed a big difference in this regard.
