Welcome to FS2Crew for the new Maddog X

Featured Replies

Almost too good to be true, Maddog + FS2Crew will be back.

The original version is still by far my favourite and most used FS2Crew. With female FO, it was the first time if I recall correctly :).

Just wondering if Leonardo is still on track for release this year.

Anyway, can`t wait !!

I can't speak for them, but my feeling is it will be out very soon.

The Maddog is a great plane.  In P3D V4, it has the best virtual cockpit I've ever seen... it almost looks as good as a 2D panel (but VC).

That sounds great. Maddog + Real Light / True Glass Rain Effects + FS2Crew, I bet that will be even more immersive then it already was !

Will Maddog reboot have the same voice sets as before ?

Bryan said voice only in a previous post but man do I wish he would change his mind and give us button users consideration.

No Button Control I'm afraid.

There are a lot of voice packs in the Maddog, more than the usual, and to do a Button Control we'd need the voice actors to record new sounds.

Unfortunately a lot of the voice actors we used are no longer available.

Yes, same voice sets.  They were so good, and there are so many of them, no point in changing them.

The current FS2Crew Maddog is a very, very old product, but it is one of our best I think.

For Reboot, I had to gut all the insides and bring them up to current FS2Crew standards just for the sake of standardization across our current products.  For example, the key assignments for toggling the main panel, mute, hard mute, etc, now match those used in the current FS2Crew's.

I also had to update the code to account for some new Maddog functionality, like Dial a Flap.

I also added the on-line Map, redid the panel graphics and modified the code so you could have a 64 bit version for P3D V4 and beyond.

Note that FS2Crew for the Maddog has two install options:  One for FSX and one for P3D.

So this is not just a P3D V4 only product.  FSX users can use it too.

But as I keep harping on about... P3D 64 bits is the way to go...  FSX is old!

Yes, indeed, I also think Maddog was the best FS2Crew product so far !

Can you use the recordings from the original voice set and apply them to a Button Control version?

Afraid not.

Button Control users are just going to have to bite the bullet and go with Voice control.

Oh well, I'LL keep flying the dawg solo. Not hard once you're use to her.
