It does not. It simply reduces it. With shadow draw distance on max, the sun has to be lower until you experience the effect, but it is still there. As others wrote, it was introduced on purpose to reduce load and increase performance. However, I doubt that it will be "solved" in the next release, as there are simply not enough people complaining about it in the Prepar3d forums... January 19, 20188 yr The appearing and disappearing shadows (both cloud shadows on ground and cockpit shadows) are one of the most annoying and ever lasting "bugs" in the P3D platform. The problem already existed in the earlier versions and so far there has been no fix. I am just wondering how happy the people must be with XP11 which in this regard appears to be more matured.
