February 3, 20188 yr I am a big fan of the FSL A320X and I highly recommend it. I am one of the lucky simmers that gets acceptable performance on my rig. Although I am not type rated on the bus (+15k hours, ERJ/737/757/767 but have many hours jump seating A320s during my lovely commutes and had the opportunity to "play" on the level D sim a few times), I know enough to be dangerous :) there are couple of things that stands out, the flight model is really on point, even in regards to single engine operations, emergencies are well modeled, the atmosphere in the cockpit feels right thanks to realistic sound effects (relays, pumps, etc.), this is the best Airbus simulation on the P3D/FSX platform. My only negative comment would be in regards to the poor communication from the team, you get a bit of info here and there from the developers, which is probably due to their focus on working on the product, but they should hire a community manager (like TFDI has done) and have a better interface with their customer base. But what matters is how good is the product is, and for me personally it is a 100% "go for it" John.

To be fair, I think by far and away the comments on here are indicative of system performance gripes - reducing FSX to a slide show, P3D V4 woes, etc.and lack of communication from the devs (which you touch upon). Certainly for myself I have zero issues with the actual technical flying experience of the A320X - (had a great flight today down from LGW to GVA) - once I achieve plus 28 FPS that is!

I totally agree with your thought on it. But from a RW pilot like Jim said above it's fantastic to here how good it is compared to the real world aircraft. Your insight into it is wonderful to hear. February 3, 20188 yr And, often overlooked - because one is engrossed in the technicalities of programming the MCDU, adjusting to the FBW, the fact that it ain't the 737NGX, etc, etc... It does have a seriously sexy leading edge... Sorry; taken at Gatwick in the rain, welcome to my life! - Yes, and I know I didn't quite nail the centre line for the Stand but it was late and I was tired, OKAY!
February 4, 20188 yr I'm not sure where I'm going with this but... When PMDG first rolled out it's product(s), did folks question it's "worth"? How long has this product been out now? And folks (still) have to ask if it's worth it? What does that mean about the product? Maybe it's a good thing; still in the spot light? A. I'd say such questions always come up when you have to spend 140 dollars for yet another add-on to your beloved hobby, especially knowing your wife is next room.

February 4, 20188 yr So mr_gambler, Seven pages later. You've had an amazing reaction to your Original Post; you've had comments from professional Commercial Airline Pilots who actually fly the Airbus A320 for a living, you've had ideas and opinions from Private Pilots who fly - although not necessarily commercially, you've had great wisdom from those in the know about how FSX/ P3D works in Simulation, and thoughts and reminiscences from mad old Flight Simmers that will give you their views and opinions without any thought process at all. This has been a truly great Thread but... What we all want to know, now, so do please tell us, is: ARE YOU GOING TO BUY IT? Let us know quickly before Old Jim Young comes and shuts us down. (Love you JY!)
