I think his answer stems from the belief that PMDG doesn’t own the rights to the MD-11 entirely, forcing them to get permission if they want to port it. The second being PMDG’s many, many denials that this isn’t going to happen and to give it a rest.

If y'all really want to fly a MD-11 that bad, there is one coming from Rotatesim for X-Plane 11. And that one should be rather decent, knowing their MD-88.

Yeah it's on the wrong sim though.
