At 06:37 AM New York time, I see 32 Boeing 747-8s and 31 MD-11s airborne. Out of 31 MD-11s, I see one Lufthansa Cargo with the rest being FedEx and UPS. Out of 32 Boeing 747-8s, I see Korean Air, Cathay Pacific, Polar Air Cargo, Lufthansa, UPS, Atlas Air, Air Bridge Cargo, Cargolux, and Nippon Cargo. So MD-11s operated by 3 different carriers versus 747-8s operated by 9 different carriers. Do you see a problem with your theory? May 1, 20188 yr I am guessing his point is that there were more MD-11s on active duty at that date and time than there were 747-8s......thereby implying that a new version of the PMDG MD11 would be justified. I am sure that Boomer will be along shortly to back up this suggestion Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

May 1, 20188 yr hahaha 😄 I've just watched a video on YT, LX65, Swiss A330 taking off from Miami Intl... And the Captain says "oh look, an MD-11" 😄 I had to smile a bit... I've never heard of a pilot who didn't love the 11 😄 So come on... let us dream... she's one of the most beautiful tubes ever flown and we all know that it's hopeless by PMDG. 😘 ,
May 2, 20188 yr Far more interesting (well, to me anyway) is that at this very moment there is a single Grumman G-73T Turbo Mallard flying in northern Australia! Now come on - that's pretty cool!😎

It's not like I don't appreciate the thing...just kinda tired of the shoehorning of the topic. Kyle Rodgers

Not changing the topic or anything, but how is Ryan? We haven't seen him around here for a while. Paul Smith.

Personally, I miss the L-1011 - to me, one of the most beautiful big birds to ever fly, and tech-wise it was way - and I do mean way - ahead of its time. But, you do have to sell some of them to actually make a go of it...that little experiment turned Lockheed off of commercial aviation for good. 😓 Edited May 2, 20188 yr by PopsBellNC missing word
