I bought GE Pro mainly for the Ground textures. I am very happy with my Clouds and water from FE, and the online Weather from ASV6 so I do not use those (clouds) that come with ASV6.I am somewhat confused with the Metar-facility of Ge Pro and Cloud textures, and its relations to the weather generation of ASV6 which is its forte, and FE Clouds and water.Another thing.Do GE Pro cloud textures interfere with those of FE. How about water textures?Could you throw some lite into my confussion. I am not very FS intrincacies avid, so your help would be highly appreciated in the clarifications of the issues above stated. Maybe I just know how to fly but perhaps I am ignorant on texture sets, etc... I read the manual but did not find much help.Edmundo CardenasCaracas, Venezuela pilot.gif

Edmundo, GE Pro introduces METAR to the choice of GROUND textures. It does not impact on FE or Active Sky at all, with one exception - SKY textures, which GE Pro uses in conjunction with the ground textures to change `look and feel`.It does not alter clouds, water, landclass or mesh.Run FE, choose clouds, water, etc. Load Active Sky to set the weather in the sim. Run GE Pro, choose weather-related settings (the METAR should be the same as that for AS). Load the sim. I think that's covered it!Allcott

Hi Peter, One question for you...I use Misty Fjords and Emma Field quite often.Would Ground Environment Pro work with both of these addonswithout problems? Thanks in advance. Dave

Really great stuff Peter!Just trying it out now.Hello, by the way.Paul Staltare

It should do. I work well with Holger so I'm sure we can find a way to optimize this in the future if there is a need.

John, Greatly appreciated - your vote is very important to me.I Love VOZ 1.2, it's absolutely STUNNING!! keep it up! you are without a doubt one of the best imo.And as Peter said, the same goes for me.Cheers

And hello to you to sir!Anthony

Thank you so much for your kind words. Really appreciated.Best regards,Anthony

I don't have GE Pro yet but as I already have GE I will probably take the upgrade. The texture/metar link is an intriguing development and a pointer to the way FS yextures may be heading but until textures can be changed on the fly I can only see a limited application to short GA flights where weather conditions are largely unchanged. It is a pity that the folks from AS and GE seem unable to communicate because they are both very talented and it would benefit us all if these products could be more fully integrated. I agree on the need for better road textures for UT users though - a makeover for them is certainly needed.Bruceb

Hello to Pete Carl,Just echoing some thoughts, even though I dont think it is all that hard to understand how GE Pro works, for me one of the easiest way to learn new software is to follow a tutorial flight that shows how to do things by example, maybe a couple of tutorial flights using different senarios that people are encountering may be helpful??What does everyone think about this suggestion?CheersPete :)

Thank you very much Allcott for your explanations. Now it is all clear in my mind.Muchas Gracias otra vez.Edmundo CardenasCaracas, Venezuela pilot.gif

Hi there Pete,We are working on making some improvements the way things work and we thank all the customer feedback to help us get the intuitive feel right. We think it may work better to call "Weather Control" "Environmental Control" and have a page or 2 more in that section. We are looking at other areas too which could be made more intutitive.I'm not sure about a tutorial. I can't see how that would be different than a manual at this stage?Once the textures are loaded it there is nothing to show in the game as such like a normal tutorial, eg to show somebody how to fly the aircraft.

That's correct Alcott! You got it!

To Anthony, Carl and Peter, a WARM thanks for your fantastic work and for your so nice, friendly and professional support. You are really talented people and fantastic persons. It's a pleasure being your customer. All the bestDavid
