November 5, 20187 yr Indeed I read the presentation again: Quote Compatible 3rd party avionics include the following: Flight1 750 GTN Flight1 650 GTN Reality XP 530 GNS Reality XP 430 GNS Navstax Radio/Navigation Suite The screenshots say: "additional avionics by..." Maybe for clarity, add "not included by default in the product" or something like that. Edited November 5, 20187 yr by Simicro FS2024

Regards, Scott Before I correctly noticed in MVAMS that they were "3rd party avionics", I thought they were the com/nav radio stack that we get as default in so many addon aircraft. I have purchased them now from Navstax's website (www.navstax.com) and installed them in the Milviz Twin Bonanza, and they are in fact very good, but not sure I can tell the difference from the radio stack you get for at no additional cost in A2A's Cherokee, Comanche and VBonanza. November 5, 20187 yr The Navstax are a 3rd party suite of Bendix-king nav/comm units simulated to a high degree. I have them installed in my milviz 310 as I like old school VOR and ADF flying, and they look and behave great. They’re good replacement units but as aviatorman says some add ons like the A2A radio stacks are just as good straight out of the box to be fair.(not saying the milviz weren’t good here, truth is I can’t recall as I stuck the navstax in straight after buying the 310) You can configure your navstax stack how you want it with the option to move units around or remove individual units. They need the developer to accommodate them to be installed in the VC rather than just as a 2D pop up. Last time I looked milviz were I think the only one who were allowing full VC integration, there may be more now. Having said that, I only yesterday finally gave in and joined the current century and bought a flight 1 GTN package for my GA flying . It’s very nice but I still consider it cheating 😉 Edited November 5, 20187 yr by jon b 787 captain. November 6, 20187 yr I enjoy "old school" airborne navigation (VOR-VOR, sectional charts and NDB) as that is what I trained with in flight school back in the 1960's. However, I do enjoy using the GTN 750 and you can do VOR navigation as well as GPS. It also makes holding patterns much easier!!. Glad that Milviz and other Payware aircraft vendors give us an option regarding radio & navigation equipment I am not familiar with Navstax.
November 6, 20187 yr Just been playing around with different avionics set ups on the MVAMS with the 310 (don’t own the PA-30 yet but I’m going to buy it after finished typing this, presuming it’s the same). The default avionics set up gives you the rather nice milviz Garmin GNS 530 & 430 units plus radar if required. The “free radio” selection gives a rather low res rendition of some Bendix-king units from the P3D default aircraft. So if you’re wanting to get rid of the GPS units and revert back to a traditional nav/com stack like I did the navstax in a great option without having to suffer the low res default aircraft units. Granted they’re a rather niche product as not everyone would want to rip out GPS units and plug in the old stuff, but if you do I can recommend the navstax. Theres some screen shots on the milviz Twin Comanche webpage , pictures 15&19 I think , that show the Comanche with the navstax installed, they look stunning...if you like that sort of thing. Many years ago I paid a serious amount of money to learn how to fly in cloud using just old needles and dials , I’m just trying to keep those skills alive after years of sat behind an autopilot following pink string in the day job. November 30, 20187 yr Please, explain to me. Are the default radios in PA-30 and 310 from Milviz only those that came with the Garmin unit? If I don't flag the AP option, I have no radio? Edited November 30, 20187 yr by Sergio Donato
July 1, 20196 yr After all these months, I am still enjoying this aircraft. However a question concerning the engine sound. Generally great quality, I think, but have noticed that when you prepare to approach and land and start reducing MAP, and set prop pitch to full forward, it takes a long time before the engine sounds reduce. It often sounds as if you are going into final on full throttle, even though gauges show reduced MAP. Having only flown fixed pitch aircraft in real life, I am not sure what to think. Is this the way it should be?
